I needed a couple of days to get my head strait. My Dumb DH is ok except for a possible broken nose from the airbag. I get to be the not so lucky transporter for him. As I REFUSE to have the ignition interlock blow thingy installed in MY truck! No sir now way! Thats MY truck, and HE isn't driving it! When I saw him in court and he had to watch me about loose it in front of the judge, he realised then that he has done some major damage, and how much it has affected me and our daughter.
It was really cute though. When I picked him up from county jail, our DD Chloe scolded him about the broke car. Two years old and tells her daddy that he is bad and broke the car.

I love my little girl.

We had the car hauled off yesterday, as I did not want to look at it every time I step outside. And I had just filled the tank. My DH owes me more than he knows.

Waking up at 4"45 just isnt my cup of tea, but I will do what needs to be done in order for him to get to and from work.

I'm here, I am ok, and I am no longer a complete mental case over this situation. But by no means is he anywhere near out of trouble with me. He successfully in one night, put us about $3500 more in debt.

We wont be purchasing property anytime soon now.

Sorry, honey. Yep, it is very expensive lesson to learn...and hopefully he has learned. Good for your DD. He needs to think of what the alternatives could have been....killing someone else or killing himself.....make sure he realizes that he could have left your DD without a daddy. Or someone else's DD or DS without a parent. Very scary.

You know we are all here for you ....use us to vent at.

Hebetter have learned, as I told him I will not go through this again. And I meant it. He could have killed himself or someone else. I still dont understand why he took the road that he did. He can hardly drive that road without going in the ditch on a nice dry day stone cold sobre. Big dummy that he is. Poor little 10" around fir tree, but I'm glad he hit the tree and didn't plow through the brush and fence, and into the back side of the police fueling station. Ugg... lol
It was and still kinda is a scary situation. He has to take a drug and alcohol screening, and then a victems panel. His next court date is on march 1st, I'm not looking forward to driving him to court, but oh well.

He has to go. Needless to say, he's not drinking anymore. He may want to, but Mamma Cheyrl says NO WAY!

We will get over this, and things will eventually get back to normal. Its just gonna take some time.

You need to use CR 12" cast iron skillet ever time he even looks at alcohol. Just as a reminder and to knock the sense back into him.

What is a victims panel? My friend had to go to one for domestic violence (she broke the mirror off her boy friends car during a argument) but she went for 3 hrs. to that-do they have different ones for different situations?

The victims panel that my husband has to attend is a 6 hour sit down. State patrol makes them watch video of wrecks, aftermath, hospital ER's, then they bring in the families/victims that have been affected as guest speakers. Who then tell their there experience, speak of their losses, and just let the particapents have it. I think its a great program, but I wish they would be more strict! There are WAY to many repeat offenders out there, "in the same court room there was a man who was charged with his 5th DUI!!! YES 5 DUI's and they released him!!!" who shouldnt get more than one chace to not do it again. Did you know in Turkey, they shoot you on site for driving drunk? Or at least I think it was Turkey... Washington, well really the entire US is WAY to lenient on drunk drivers.

Dont get me wrong. I love my DH, and I'm glad he is alive and not in jail. But this should never have happened, and it will not happen by him again.

Sometimes things have to happen for people to put things into perspective.I'm glad that for your daughter and your sakes that the alternative didnt happen. And for him too. This will cost now with $$$. You know, now that I think about it I think my DH and I were asked to be involved with the victims panel here in Snohomish County. Anyway, good luck to you and your family.

And that is the most important part. We all make bad choices but the most important part is that we learn form them and not continue to make the same bad choices. Glad that nobody was seriously hurt or worse but that doesn't change what he did. And IMO feel free to rant. We all need to at times and I feel that my BYC friends are a very understanding and supportive group.

Someone asked if male ducks (drakes) fight like roosters do. . . Yes. But they also can get along just like roosters do if raised together.

Drake fights are crazy though. In a clumsy, funny sort of way. Since ducks seriously aren't the best land animals, but fights are usually on land with domestic ducks, it's all about biting and spinning around like in a waltz, and a lot of wings flapping due to such horrible balance.

occasionally..
They don't fight in the same dramatic style... They each grab each other around the neck/face/chest with their bills and shove each other around the yard, with lots of flapping wings...

oh--Illia got it too.
