With My DS, there are very few foods he does not like, so as long as he tries everything on his plate, I am fine if he does not eat it. DD on the other hand, avoids fruits and vegetables. She also has terrible eczema that covers nearly her entire body except for her face and hands and feet. her legs and arms are rough like sandpaper. She also gets sick much more often than DS (neither get sick often, but DS gets sick about once every 4 years where DD gets sick a couple times per year. I was rather surprised that DS was the one in our family got piggy flu about 18 months ago; all but 6 in his class of 27 got it the same week!)

I can't help but think that DD's diet contributes to her skin problems. Most of what she eats is cheese (she has expensive taste in cheese too, just like her daddy. Won't touch the orange stuff). I do force her to eat at least 3T of whatever vegetable we are having if she does not make herself a salad. She will eat yams, sometimes corn, and peas but only if she picks the peas herself. Lately she is eating spinach too, and I just started buying blue-cheese dressing made with yogurt as she drowns anything green in blue-cheese. (I hate blue cheese but love gorganzola ... DD thinks they taste the same).

I too am a member of the clean plate club. I have the same kind of eating problems. I also make my kids try some of everything....or if I know it is something that is not their favorite...then I only give them a small amount. But if they pull the "I'm full" card....there is no seconds of something else or dessert....remember...you were full.

Have you had her tested for allergies. My older son, who is allergic to almost everything, has eczema problems. Eating things he has low level allergies to aggravates it. My sister, the allergist, says keeping skin moisturized will help as much as anything else. Look for lotions without colors or fragrances. I've also noticed my skin is a lot clearer if I'm taking antihistamines.

We do a "No Thank You Helping". Which is a small helping of whatever they say no thank you too! If they have tried it before and don't like it then that is fine but if they have never had it then it is "no thank you helping time"!!!

Then we joke and say that if you DO like it after your "no thank you helping" then you have to wait till next time we make it to have more! For some reason the reverse psychology thing has always worked wonders with any kid that I know!!

Blood spots are not what you are looking for to determone the fertility of the egg. It is the big white polka dot.
Good luck.

Thanks all.
I did a Google to see what the white spot should look like.

Eczema is quite the nuisance, DH suffers from it. But it usually flares up when he is under stress, so i got him some creams and lotions, his dermatologist told him to "pamper" himself

so we just have to keep an eye on it. The odd thing is he doesn't realize he breaking out until he has scratched himself half bloody. Then its about 4 days of the "pamperazation"

Maybe he should just pamper himself all the time.

Oh really? Well when you have the time, and you find it, please do email that to me. Wonder if these are the same hawthorns... I know that these are a hybrid cross, and have never seen berries on them. But then again these trees are HUGE and I dont get to see what grows up at the tops. lol Maby the berries that the article mentions are actually the budlets before they bloom? before the blossoms open they look like little white cherry clusters. Very pretty, and heavenly to smell when in bloom.

If I remember correctly, I was told by the Dr.s that my heart would never shrink back to its original size. So it will always be a couple cm larger than it is supposed to be... But I am willing to try holistic remedies, even though the Dr.s say it wont work.

Does anyone have any red clover growing? I really want to grow some this year, as it is FULL of anioxidents, and helps rid the body of certain nasty cells that I dont want to think about... Anyone? Or does anyone know a good nursery where I can get a good amount of Red clover?

That would be awsome if you could do that! I'll PM you in a little bit.
