Slipped on some black ice while carrying a bag of chicken poop to the curb (too much snow in the yard to get to the compost bin). Fell on my back, got up and then fell forward ... After that I gave up and crawled down my driveway till I was past the ice. I must have been a funny sight, but I banged myself up pretty good.

On a happier note, the kids and I got to watch 6 little cuckoo swimmers tonight(day 7)

The were just squealing right along with me! 4 are so dark that it's really hard for this novice to tell. I suspect blood ring.

Time will tell. 1 wk down, 2 to go!

I seriously thought about that one, but decided I could get into too much trouble with a twenty egger. Tell hubby about how much you saved.

They can be kept someplace cool, like the garage for a few days. Make sure the packing medium is damp.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong but I think I have read that broody raised tend to be a little wild. If this is true I think is may be better to let a broody hatch em but brrod em yourself !!

Heck, with 6 kids I say bring on the stink! Don't know too many smells I haven't had to put up with yet.

OK folks I got MY BYC (BUDDIES ROCK) fix and am in need of a little sleep. Pretty much been up since 3:45am Thursday with only a few minute napping here and there. It is starting to catch up. Will talk to ya L8R
