I was up your way yesterday Heather... the rain coming down was INCREDIBLE.. my son and I were up at the ski hill and it was snowing up there like mad, but coming back down into the Valley.. wowie zowie...

Then we drove home over the passes last night, non stop torrential downpour the WHOLE way home.. talk about a white knuckle drive home.

ON that note, I am going to try and catch up somewhat, I haven't really been online (except FB on my phone!

Tamara had talked about that pizza buffet place being the best place, especially for a large group, but she isn't going to be there now...I'm sure we could still find it though!

We haven't decided on a time yet though...probably just after everything is done and everybody is all cooped out. Maybe meet at the area where the BYC table was before everything was broken down???

Sorry about your four legged family member. I know those are tough decisions to make. I had to do DW's horse and our dog in the same day. But comes a time we need to think with our head and not our heart.

Just know that you did the right thing.

having sheltered several born-feral and gone-feral cats, I know what you mean about the health issues;
and you did the BEST thing !

a couple of mine lingered when I was too broke to have them put down,
and too chickenhearted to do it myself

also had the heartbreaking issue of having my darling Sundae, die on my lap from uremic poisoning
(thought the treatment had worked, he seemed to be getting better)

then losing his mom Keke and litterbrother SkinnyMelynx .. to FIV .. they came home from cat show with it,
back when it wasn't well recognized

Google up and read Rainbow Bridge if you haven't already

Oh no!!! I hope you get it under control! Ive got all my tack and grain in my laundry/tack/storage room. lol I had to move ALL my hay into the horse trailer... My hay shed sprung a leak!
barnie.gif
Ruined 6 bales of Timothy, and 2 bales of grass...

That was just over a months worth of hay, all ruined.

Wow, your horses are easy keepers. I have two and they consume around 15 bales a month. They are wormed regularly and they are a nice weight. Can't wait for spring. I'll have pasture.

Teagan my daughters pony stays fat on air! Prada and Lacy get 4 flakes a day, and a mixture of beetpulp and oats. Lacy has thankfully put weight on over the winter. She needed it, such a lean mare. Prada has held her weight well, but hasn't put any on. Then again, my vet wants me to keep her on the light side. Said it will be better on her growing joints/bones.

Right now, along with dealing with the rain scald, I am looking for a pasture to lease for a couple months. I have got to let my pastures grow back. All the rain this winter has turned everything to mud. Ive been lucky with mud issues though. The deepest mud I have is only 6" deep.

Are we going to need to let the pizza place know that we have a large group coming in for lunch? I am not sure how many are going to make it, and there could be a few that will join us after we meet up for the day. So with Tamara not coming, do we need to make sure that we will be able to eat together as planned? I remember the name of the pizza place, and they have a gluten free menu there, plus salad bar.

I am so sorry that you had to let Fern go. i feel so blessed with my former feral kitties. So far we haven't had any health issues with them. It's sad when you try so hard to fix them, and you just can't.

I think we were planning on doing dinner, but if everybody would rather do lunch, that might be easier for those that are going to head out Saturday after the show...

Hey guys!

I have printed out 50 copies of Tudy. So, I will bring those and a box of color crayons to our BYC table so we can decorate her for her pictures!

Today is a bit of a better day for me. Didn't get much sleep last night but luckily not because of pain, just wind! A wind storm and percoset = Crazy!!!
