LOL.

I harrass my dh that he is such a "city-boy".

New Zealand, Satin, Californian, Florida White are the normal meat breeds, they grow quick for an early butcher. Lilac and havana are also good but don't give you as big of a carcass. Where are you located? I know a New Zealand breeder here, they're one of the 4-H families here. You can also get fairly decent meat animals really cheap up at the Enumclaw Sales Pavillion but I'd only do that if you know what you're doing or if you have someone to help you. I'd be more than happy to help you rummage through boxes up there if you're local enough to Enumclaw. Although going the auction route it may take you a few weeks to find what you're looking for early spring/fall tend to be the best times to find them up there.

A Florida White looks like a New Zealand just smaller, you don't get much meat off of them.

Raspberries make excellent jam. or jelly if you don't care for the seeds. Tulameen is just a variety.

Teresa--My dad has TONS of raspberries in his garden. They do incredibly well there.

In fact.. I know he wants to get rid of extras as well, he about thumped me on the head when I had told him I actually BOUGHT some.

I don't know what I was thinking really. I will be back over that way before too long again, helping him to clean up the garden and what not. If anyone misses out on these that I have right now.. I will mention raspberries again and bring MANY more back over for anyone interested.... don't know what his are, if it matters to anyone.. prolific for sure though.

These are free btw. I got them -- all 30 -- for like 6 bucks or some silly thing. I am not sure if it was a mistake on their part or they just toss in extras? or what...

Been out diggin in the dirt. I am ready for warm weather!

Yep, Black Coppers. Have many, but my early laying OE has a particular line who are behind her. Would pair up with Wheatens if I didn't have so few girls to work with, and my boys are a little hard to work with. They court more than mate.

As for bunny names - Great idea.

What color are these "olive" eggs exactly? I have an "araucana" that has khaki green colored eggs maybe its the same? If so what can I breed her to to get more eggs this color!

Here is some, I had from my begin laying pullets, some do have speckles and they are very pretty!
Will have hatching eggs for sale at the show.
I had this photo already loaded so decided to show ya.
Aren't they fun ?
I have quite a few OE baby chicks right now too!
