I am still on the fence about entering any birds....I am toying with the idea of a couple bantam Orloffs again but I don't want to be stuck there until late afternoon on Sunday because it's such a long drive back.

I already have my hotel room booked (it was the cheapest and I only plan on showering & sleeping there and spending the rest of my time wandering the chicken show).

I am mostly going to make connections and perhaps, buy some more birds.

Me too, but I am going to show.
DH may drop me off to coop in & drive home to care for things here & then come get me Sunday.
I want to spend more time with the birds this time too.
Maybe I will drive myself down & leave him home....a better idea.

RFF: sent you a PM.
Heritage LF thread post 1 page back.
Goodnight all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

show us the egg shell....do you really not know what it is or are ya just making us guess ?
Does it have feathered shanks & toes as in Bantam Cochin ?

Clean legged, white, non-speckled shell and No, I have no clue. Jim Lucas at Del's just handed me the box and said have fun. He has nice birds and CR thinks separated by breed but not sure.

Hi Rainwolf -

Do you happen to know what it takes to start a drop-off site for the food? I mentioned the feed to someone in North Bend with more that 100 chickens. He asked if I could re-reach it to see if they can deliver to North Bend if they have enough people buying. He would like for me to talk about it at the next Grange meeting, and using the Grange as the drop-off site. The Sallal Grange in North Bend just re-started last year. It id just a large meeting hall with a huge kitchen now. They don't sell stuff like the Issaquah Grange does, just a community meeting place with pot-luck meals and local musicians can play there. I was told they are trying to arrange clubs for cooking, canning, livestock, etc. open to families since we don't have an active 4-H club here. I still have not been there, but it sounds interesting.

I would call and talk to Scott. He agreed to a drop here only cuz he was doing drops in south Seattle and my minimum order is over a ton. northbend is farther so might need larger order or more of a delivery fee.
