hey

if you all find yourselves throwing away your chicken/rabbit/horse/dog feed bags (the ones made out of tyvek) could i have you send them to me?

I have turned all my feed bags i had accumulated over the past few months in to produce totes and find myself running out of material to use (only 2 bags left). if you have any of the pink breast cancer ones those are the best since they are "limited" addition.

to make up for the cost of you shipping them to me (if you send many bags) i can make one produce tote for free and send it back to you.

this is the first time (and probably the only) that i have been interested in the recycling/ repurposing thing. in the area where i live there is no recycling unless you go and drop it off 40 mi away and they only accept newspaper or aluminum.....

later this week ask CL about how the tote turned out.

It is so sad about your MIL, and everyone, especiall your FIL. It is so hard to see someone in so much pain, and hard to lose someone.

The tax office I work at is next to the Sr. Center, and several of the younger tax preparers volunteer there through AARP to do taxes free of charge and most of the preparers who work here are retired seniors. We get many seniors coming in to ask questions, and I think sometimes just to talk because they are lonely. When I was at the tax office Friday, one of our clients called to tell me that his wife died Thursday. She had been in a lot of pain, so he was having a lot of mixed feelings. He was thankfull however, that on Monday they celebrated their 52nd anniversary. My heart just breaks for them. Made me think of Inge & Heinz, friends of my parents since 1960. They met in Winnipeg in the late 40's, and had a very wonderful relationship. It was impossible to think of one without the other. When Inge suddenly died about 5 years ago, I know Heinz would not last long. Inge's passing was much harder on him than my Dad's passing was on my mother or I because we had the support of friends and family.

I hope your MIL pulls through and recovers. If she doesn't, I hope you will be able to convince your FIL to move up to Washington for the support of such loving friends and family.

Rainwolf is hatching the rest of the eggs. I should be getting them from her in a few days. in the mean time, I've given it a fuzzy sock. I don't have stuffed animals any more. My boys are in their twenties. Thank you for the offer.

Was it you who donated a breast cancer awareness produce bag to the Monroe Chicken Show raffle ?
If so, we have seen it, T-Hi won it, lucky girl.
the bag is awesome & will be used as long as possible for grocery shopping.
I will go through my feed bags but most are Patriot farms, which I fold Up & save and return to him when I get more feed. He reuses them.

My babies love a sock stuffed inside a sock.
That is how daffy came to be, curled up in her tube sock bed!

Thanks Ogress, a beautiful story
