on another note when i am not busy studying i have a new project i was inspired.
totes made out of suits. i make a matching suit, dress shirt and tie. then i slowly work on turning it into a bag.
i am halfway done with it. finished the arms. now need to stitch it in half. i will turn the arm fabric into the handles for the bag (since it would be matching fabric...)
i am planning to sell this at the fruitstand. what do you think it should go for? i have enough supplies to do another with a suit is a blue pinstripe nordstrom.
this is a step up from produce bags. if you saw this in a store what would you expect to see on the price tag?

I've only got the one chick from my eighteen Brabanter eggs. A number of the chicks in Rainwolf's incubator peeped but didn't pip, too. I hope the Spitzhauben hatch goes better. I'm disappointed. Even if the breeder offers me more eggs, and they have a better hatch rate, I'll end up with a bunch of chicks of different sizes and ages. That makes growing them out more complicated.
That's part of why I gave up on those....I couldn't get a good foundation group going and the chicks had hardiness issues....same issues with the Spitzhaubens.

Maybe I should go back to thinking spangled Orloffs.

Well, if that's the case I know where you can get some nice ones.

I used to, alot of people do, or peanut butter.
I have a good friend who does avacado & sweet pickles.
I am trying hard not to think sad thoughts here, thanks so much for distractions!!!
why don't you start one of those amish friendship breads and send it to people/ give to friends. it would distract you and.. i lost my train of thought. its all with good intentions. like instead of a prayer chain... its a bread chain.... since if a chick chain happened most women on here might get divorced from their husbands because of too many chickens... dad always uses that threat when mom wants to get more dogs. so the loophole is we foster dogs. so we own 4 but sometimes have 5-6.
would you like to try and work on part of my entomology exam with me? you can have fun identifying damaged crops and the insects and stuff.
I am #1 a celiac and #2 Illia would LOVE to "do" bugs with you!

The best ones I ever had, I made from old levis, cut across just above the crotch, forming a very short skirt, then on the thigh of 1 leg, cut out an oval the size of the "skirt" as if someone were wearing it.
Inside out, sew the oval to the bottom of the "skirt" longways across the fron to the "skirt".
Then with the other 3 parts of thigh & leg, cut long 2" wide for the strap & 1/2 seam allowance=3" wide strips, hem, and fold rightsides out, attach to waistband of the jeans to have a shoulder strap.
I did so many, even added pockets inside which is easier to do before you sew it together, and have to do it by hand or by making a "twin" to use as a liner, which get sewn in at the waistband by hand.
I had these & made them for years! Love them!!

I've watched a similar situation unfold. In the end, everything was fine but the rollercoaster of emotions I have not forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your extended family.
