they are probably referring to section...each tray holds 2 sections of plastic or paper egg trays.
Each 'section holds 30 eggs, X 2 sections per tray X 3 trays.........chicken math at it's best.
The gQf cabinet holds less duck or geese eggs, but way mo' quail or pheasant eggs.
Do the math, it holds ALOTTA EGGS and works great although your humidity is too high for incubation, take the sponge OUT. Use no sponge until lockdown.
I use JUST the water tray, NO SPONGE. The sponge is used at lockdown.
Now if you were incubating waterfowl you use a sponge at first set to raise the humidity to 45-55% and 2 sponges at lockdown.
OK ?
Hopefully yours works the same as mine....but maybe not.
So if you have a sponge in the water tray , take it out & see what happens.
Mine hums along at 37% with no spomge, perfect.
With 1 sponge it zooms to 55%, with 2 sponges it zzooooooms way up to 75%.
The sponges block the wind from the fan & creat turmoil and suck up more humidity.
OK ?
Hope this helps...
