Didn't say before because I'm still processing: my cousin lost "a couple" of his chickens to the coyote sometime between me seeing them Friday and me running into his sister-in-law yesterday afternoon. They were all cooped up all day today, so I don't know which ones, or when. I'm feeling totally freaked out right now, although my chickens are in the coyote-proof yard and I just ran a check that the fence is all flush to the ground right now. I pushed ahead on getting the chicken coop together today, but I'm more than a little messed up because somehow even though I told my daughter and my hired hand to cut two equal short lengths and two equal long lengths the ended up with three different lengths, two of them way too long.
Feeling old and discouraged right now, and full of contempt for my abilities: how can it take so long to build a tiny chicken coop?
