Washingtonians

Hi,

I live in Whatcom County, on the south end of Lake Whatcom. Looking forward to building my new coop soon. I just purchased 3 Barred Plymouth Rocks and 3 Buff Orpingtons. They are so cute.

I'm looking forward to meeting other Washingtonians who know how to raise chickens in our wet NW Washington climate.

Thanks,

Kris

Time I posted my new holderead duckies. They are cinnamon runners with a few blues and silvers as well. They are about a week old.

Okay, just saw on my morning news how an "Animal Ethics" group thinks our dogs, cats, etc should not be called "pets" as this term is durogatory...they should be called "Companian animals" and "wildlife" should be referred to as "free range animals", etc, etc, etc. They say that calling them "pets" could influence how other people "treat" them.

DH just asked: "What next?! We can't call them Afghans, German Shepherds, Black Labs, Calico's or Tabby's...!!??"

Okay. One more thing and then I REALLY have to get busy. I just realized I was durogatory to last nites meal. I thought it was shrimp and pasta.

But, SHRIMP would be, what, dimension-challenged shellfish?!

No way - you just went into lockdown last night? I don't hear anything here. It's day 19. Maybe I'd better start doing one of your dances... Nope, just went and checked and no chirps. Okay 4312, I for sure need to see one of your hatch dances now.

Is your bator temp running on the high side??

The so called news story last night about chickens in Clyde Hill was a joke.
KIRO pumped that story at the start of broadcast and through out it.
When it came time to do the story they gave it ten seconds.
They showed some guy talking but no audio.
It would help the rest of us figure out what is going through the holes in these people's heads who claim they have a brain if we could hear their excuses for controlling other people's lives.
Why they feel disregarding the constitution that many men and woman have died fighting for and many others suffer daily coming back all messed up physically and mentally from all of that doesn't matter they want to control every part of your life.

KIRO should be ashamed of themselves for pumping a story like that giving nothing. I have seen all news casts do that before but none with less info then this one.

Ok fellow Washingtonians, I lost a duckling yesterday and would love to find the remaining single a friend. It needs to be a larger breed since Mossberg is a Pekin. If neone knows of somewhere in Southern Washington close to white salmon that has ducklings for sale please let me know.
