Hey -- thanks for the kind words. I'm not really a wood worker, more of a tinker. By profession, I manage customer service and implementation for a medical-software company. I've held loads of jobs in my life time, from restaurant management to door-to-door vacuum sales, to Russian Linguist while a member of the US Army. I don't build coops for free, but I don't really make that much either. Ask Rainwolf - she'll probably tell ya she's getting a good deal

Kim does NOT seem to be high maintenance, but she always looks nice when she stops by to visit

My condo as Kim calls it, doesn't even come close to comparing with what VelvettFog has built.

I would love to show pictures of the old barn and coops . But I have TWO problems

(1) I don't know how to post pictures

I can barely remember how to log back in to BYC when I'm off.

(2) my coops are in the barn and there isn't much room to stand back and take a picture and get a full view of everything.

Hell, I am living in a lawnmower barn & have a lugable loo for a toilet, have to haul water & heat it on the stove, mix with cold to get just the right temp for a """Shower""" with a big dipper.
I have a washing machine, but have to plug in a pump & fill it from a rain water bucket, and after 10 years I have got ONE Valentine's card.
No ring.

BTW, this is the third house I have built.
Had to sell the first one & move, no job in North Idaho.
Second one a complete (knock the walls out) remodel.
Now this.
