thats my story and thats all it is a story.

He where's the fishin report???

We like to Bass fish and we catch and release. I landed 3 large mouth, DH landed 2 small mouth and 1 perch. We also hooked at least 3 more a piece....but our trolling motor then died. So we came home. Found a fuse had flipped. Know more for next time. Had to come home anyway to take DD to recital.

Sure thats what we used to claim on the river when salmon / steelhead got away. O we are just doing catch and release. That way ya can tell all about how many and how big and nobody can dispute since it was c n r.

So speaking of orps. Does anyone know if I breed a non english to an english, what the chicks will be like? Will there be a certain # of english and a certain # of non. Or just a bunch of blase' chicks?
The hatch I did from Rising Star/Carol gave me 1 blue boy but he does not have true english form. But I have some gorgeous black girls and boys that are good form. Just wondered what I would end up with.
I would also buy splash pullets from ya!!! Need to mix up my lines anyway.

Yes, I want to know this too. I need to ask the lady I got the eggs from (that I hatched out) but I am assuming they are engllish.

I answered a ways back, who did you get your eggs from? the english birds are not very populated, only a couple people imported birds or eggs. they are around but true english import lines are not that common.

Okay, since I am still learning....what creates splash?
Is this a blue and buff crossed?
When two "broken" variety (black and white or brown and white, etc) rabbits are crossed they have babies that are all speckely (I had the word 2 seconds ago - now have forgotten what it is called)

wheres Illia when you need her, splash is a dilute and comes from black...or blue... one or the other. crossing buff with BBS will give you funky looking splotchy birds. although I once got a partridge. but usually they have buff heads and splotchy bodies. not the prettiest. buff does not mix with the BBS

I of course saw the answer after I had already posted. I find this very interesting. I sure love the English version.
