Exactly. Add to that my serious need to get more raccoon-proof housing before the orchard is ripe (especially since it looks as if I'll have enough apples to bait them here and not enough to stuff them into satiation) and I'll want either Bjorn or Benny to go down the road soon after July 13, when they break quarantine here.
Ian has been in a snit the past couple of days; I've been too busy to talk to him much, and then we left Sylvia's egg in the chicken tractor long enough for him to get attached to it and when my daughter took it out last night he bit her. I need to spend time talking to him and feeding him the gourmet excellance which is blooming grass (especially velvet grass seed-heads, which he loves more than Peanuts, even). I need to rig a shelf for Elvis' water bottle, and hang his feeder: he spends very little time on the ground, and a higher position for his feed and water will keep them cleaner.
This week, however, I need to get a sheep tractor devised as, and do about thirty-eleven loads of laundry, and start picking and drying the damask roses. So hardware upgrades to the chicken accomodations may have to wait.
