We moved here 24 years ago from So Cali. I traded the heat for rain and the dead dry for moisture, green and trees. Haven't regretted it. In Cali when it rained in the early spring things would green up but it only lasted a month then everything was dead again. Sure, the rain can be a pain and depressing but I love green and trees and WATER! And not have my water rationed or cost a fortune. I do miss the beach though where the water is actually warm enough to swim in however I have had multiple skin cancers removed from my face. Unfortunately I grew up in the pre sunscreen era. We wore T-shirts at the beach and zinc oxide on our noses but no one covered their entire face with it. I almost had to have the top of my ear taken off due to a basal cell but the doc did a great grafting job. Been slathering on the sunblock ever since it came out.

OK, I have some good news. Our local feed store had a drawing for 2000 lbs of feed. They picked 10 people to get 200 lb ea and I won twice so I get 400 lbs free chicken food!

Very Cool.
