Put it on VERY early in the morning it will be bigger then.

Somehow I'm certain that won't be happening. Possibly because my husband is not yet home for dinner, and I've got meds I have to take four hours after eating.

I like early morning, it's just that my current life-style is managed by people whose work shifts start at 10am.

I didn't know you could make jam from creeping raspberry! We tore out all of ours! Oh well, probably not enough for jam anyway.

if you don't have enough of one particular thing to make jam, you can always make it a combination ...

I made some wild salmonberry / pear jam up in Alaska years ago --- I was expecting a yellow-orange jam but it came out deep magenta (the pears were actually frozen fruit, from the cannery's grocery stock)

Hey guys! I'm just now getting back into the groove of things around here. Sorry I don't have time to go back and read all of the posts to even try to get caught up....

I only lost one chick and one full-size chicken while we were away. My FIL fed my one of my Orloff pens a bunch of taco chips and I think one must have gotten stuck in one of the hen's throats....that's what I think it was at least.

Cool!!!!!!!!
I am thinking of getting a Hardy Chicago Fig next spring, no need for a green house.

Psshh that's like getting crustless bread to save the hassle of cutting the crust off. You need to get the REAL old-style figs!
