Hey guys! I've reluctantly decided to part with my youngest (and best) pair of mille fleur cochins.

I'm trying to get some extra money and thin out the flock before winter....DH absolutely refuses to build anymore coops and with me being off work for the next few months I don't feel right about buying anything else right now...so this pair has to go. PM me if you're interested--I'll be posting them in the auctions later tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks! It was originally a dove/pigeon coop that transitioned to a chicken coop and its made with 4x4's

which means it weights a blasted ton! but it will be a sturdy bugger of a coop.
and now when I need to put the roo to bed.... I can walk in and grab him not contort myself in the door to reach in the farthest corner to grab a foot or tail of roo and pull him closer to get him out.

I have seen my fair share of bad canned goods... All of those experiences have taught me that if the can is more than 3 months past the pull date, I wont even bother opening it. I know that canned goods are supposed to be good for a long time... But food poisoning is not something that I like to tempt, been there done that, and prefer to miss doing it again.

If food is properly canned, the flavor and texture may degrade, but it should not spoil unless the seal has broken (in which case, toss it for sure!). If there was mold in canned food, it had to have been exposed to air.

it was 3 or 4 year old canned (store bought) pumpkin. It had mold. and yes....diet pop does expire and does taste nasty.

So am I. I try and wait as long as I can Oct 30 is what I try. I know once we put the stove on it never goes off until spring.

Too late...mine kicked in this morning, and the boys have had the fireplace on since last month.
Last summer my heat in the games room was on all summer.

I was told that if it doesn't pop it is good, but I am too chicken to try.

The health inspector has me trained good. If in doubt, toss it out.

Ive never seen mold in canned food, but lots in kalamata olives and dried dates.

And my Whirlpool front loading washer

Can't get rid of the yucky stuff. Got to get rid of the lousy machine.
It is a water saving @$%$#& .

and the dryer is not that good either. Miss my old Kenmore top load machine.

I've put so much chlorox on it I should at least buy Chlorox stocks.
