My husband works for the PO and when any animal comes in they call the people or my hubby drives them out. That isnt his job but all the people know that he loves animals. So I'll have to say that some PO are great and some are not..

The one time I got chicks, my carrier insisted on delivering them first thing on her run because she wanted to see them! On a previous occasion, she had asked why I was getting eggs in the mail, and I told her about my chickens, showed her my set up, and gave her some eggs. I figured it can't hurt to have her on my side.

See if I were closer I would jump right in the middle of this and whoever is aparrently refusing to do what they are supposedly required would not be very happy by the time I had them sent kickin rocks. And then I would continue to go up that ladder. This is why they can set on thier hands and draw nice wages. WE THE PEOPLE need to take control back.

Yes, but would YOU want to then put your live bird in the hands of the worker you'd ticked off? I'd be afraid he'd drop kick the box! I've had one bird sent to me arrive dead and another with a dislocated hip. If these postal workers will use guns on people, what will they do to a box of birds?

Give who ever delivers them some fresh eggs.

I have araucana chicks that I hatched because they like to have a hen with chicks at the fair. If anyone is here in Western WA and interested they can have them when the fair is over. I'm not hatching again for me until after Christmas. These are bantams in various colors- none of which look to be show birds. Show quality parents are on display there now in black, blue and white. Hens will lay nice blue eggs, cockerels make a nice plump eating bird. I think there are 5.

My post office calls me to pick them up as soon as they arrive (or they ask if I would like them delivered at the time the rest of my mail comes.) The people who worke there are nice - it is their shipping and insurance policies which are national that I have a problem with. When I was having issues with the item they would not pay insurance on, our local postmaster told me they would likely deny the claim. She had sent a $450 bracelet overseas and they even denied her claim! If they can't deliver on a product, either they should not sell it, or refund your money when they fail.

With everyone talking about growing things and fruit.....
I planted a fig tree a couple of years ago.
I haven't gotten any fruit from it until TODAY!!!
It only has about 5-6 figs on it, but two of them were ripe.
And I ate both of them!!!
YUMMY!!! I was so excited!
