Congrats to you and your group for doing such a great job. BTW for what it's worth. Yesterday I talked personally (face to face) with a fairly high up in the USPS and was assured the problem with your shipping that were delayed. She told me that was one person and not the way the USPS directs thier people to deal with that. She told me that 1) If somebody doesn't tell us (USPS) there is a problem(the person you dealt with) we can't fix it. and 2) Given the situation that would be time go to supervisor to get results right away. Unfortunately I didn't have enough details or this lady said she would have investigated the incedent.

I am set up at a local winery selling my metal work this weekend. Yesterday was day one of 2. I learned a very good lesson yesterday. Free flowing wine helps make the cash flow freely.

Yes I did fairly well and still have today to go. But today may not be such a good day. we are getting a little rain and I have all my stuff out ine the lawn at the winery. However everybody must drive right past me so at least maybe they will see something the just can't live with out.

Ogress: Thank you (and your DH) for such a wonderful welcome yesterday!
PromisedLand and I had a great time at your party! (The rest of you sure missed out!)
I have a serious case of coop envy! You are right, your coop is built as tough as a house; it is so well thought-out - absolutely perfect for our rainy weather, too.
Just super!
Thanks again!
Wonderful to put faces - and real names! - to our handles.

Chicken Rustler - I've written before how much I like your bells. I'm so glad you are having success.
I came across a bell similar to yours in one of my old Sunset magazines - similar except a big difference in prices!
I keep thinking you need to get your work into high end nurseries!
Here's a link to his site (hope it works) - maybe it'll give you some ideas about pricing.
Just curious - how much are you charging for your painted flower?

29th wedding anniversary today, but on the other hand I still need to do 2/3 of my grocery shopping for the week, and get something done on one or the other of the chicken construction sites. Lovely little rain overnight, but hope it'll not persist in the daytime, since another coat of paint needs to go on the Wyandotte coop. Although I must admit Ian has been useful in recovering the forgotten pieces of board and plywood which had been stacked in that corner of the yard over the years, which might result in eradicating some of the darned vole burrows.

I washed my heavy mattress pad first yesterday, and it was dry on the line by noon; the sheets and dainties that were hung out at noon and just before one were still mostly wet when I brought them in at six; that says everything one needs to know about the weather yesterday, that and the Fair Isle sweater pattern of clouds moving fast from the SSW to NNE all afternoon.
