Edited to add: She has very nice lacing.
Shanks & toes slate & all...I have alot of them

bred to a Marans would give you an excellent Olive egger...and watch for OEs to have just a smige of feather on their shanks.
Other than that, my OEs look like my Ameraucanas

Blue Ameraucana is what I thought also.

WOW We have a HUGE BLUE cloud overhead. It is filling the sky as far as I can see. Looks like today may be a bit drier than the 4 hours I spent out in the rain yesterday. Have a good day and don't worry I will try to keep this blue cloud in place as long as I can so itwon't bother any of ya.

Sorry about your sleepless night; I often have trouble sleeping during the full moon, myself. I noticed how bright it was last night when I was out in the typhoon, though: pouring rain and half the sky glowing from the moon behind the heavy clouds!

All the animals here are at least only damp instead of terribly wet, so my hard work yesterday had some benefit beyond making me sleep like a rock.

So here are a couple of pictures that my coop builder sent me. I guess we didn't discuss the exact dimensions of the doors and such, because it's looking a little different than I envisioned. Got to be particular about every detail, I guess.

Onward and upward, I guess. I notice my husband has not fed the hoop house group on his way to work, guess he thought yesterday was a "favor" rather than a "chore."

Not that he had chores as a child; me, I think that giving your kid regular jobs is one of the greatest gifts you can give their adult selves, not to mention your future sons and or daughters-in-law.

Well I'm excited. Three of the four eggs are hatched and the last one is zipped. The hatched ones snuck out from under mama and I got a look at their feet. All have five toes. I'm guessing my black silkie boy is the dad since his feet are correct and the buff only has four toes. The babies are chipmunk or variation of it which I wasn't expecting if he's the dad, but I guess they could feather I black still.

Well I am an hour & a half South of Seattle & an hour & half North of Portland. Meskill, WA. Alot of PNW chicken wranglers here! I find myself checking here in the morning with my Cuppa Joe or Kombucha ! On the verge of becoming an addict, or fowlic (lol)
