I guess it all depends where you are standing. Your 4:08 is 6:08 for me and since I am getting ready for work for the day I'd say day crew.

I guess it does depend on where you are alright.

I did want to tell you of my experience of Colville WA (sp) we went to vist DH Uncle and Aunt & family when our kids were young. It was July and we had along our summer clothing, and for several hrs each day it was fairly warm, but come evening say around 4:00 the temp. started to drop and we could not get enough clothing on to stay warm. The family heated by wood stove starting about that time and going all night untill about noon. Our kids and ourselves were miserable all night long. The weather was clear and beautiful but no real warmth to the sun and I think a very short growing season. I hope that this helps you.

Huh. I didn't know that the place between Dryad and Ceres was called Meskill. For that matter, I didn't know there was a named place between Dryad and Ceres, and I've actually been there. Repeatedly, although not recently.

Anyhow,

at least welcome to the chattiest thread ever

I'm about an hour and a half south of Seattle and an hour and a half north of Portland too, but ... also about 45 minutes northeast of you ... winding county roads you know

my guess is, after Kansas' never-cooling-much-at-night ... that would be welcomed !

I was certainly delighted when my dad was transferred out of Oklahoma and back to the west coast

Hello again! I love how chatty you guys are. But I keep missing entire conversations.

I ordered my coop! So excited. I'll pick it up next Friday. My girls are three weeks old today. And they have decided that flying is pretty cool. One has flown into our dogs face twice now. Thankfully the dog didn't want to eat it, but it freaked me out. Dogs are now locked out when I'm fussing over the girls. They can stare when the lid is on.

They've gotten so flighty that I let them run around in the kitchen thinking they would want to run/fly around a little. Nope, they stayed together in the center and scratched at some meal worms in sawdust I got them. I know meal worms are like crack, but even when they were all gone, they still didn't try to perch on anything or run around.

My runt is finally growing, yay!

Both in size and her feathers. I see her eat and drink, but she plops down in their sleeping position A LOT. Hopefully she grows out of it and hopefully she's a she. I plan on updating the blog tonight with the weekly update and pictures. I am absolutely fascinated with them and can't wait to see how they grow up.
