Keeping up is not easy - I often find I ask something then find it a few pages back

Our chicks will be five weeks on Saturday - lots of pics posted a few pages back. Would love to see pics of your chicks! And the new coop when you get it

She (Blueberry) looks to me to be a Blue Ameraucana.
Edited to add: She has very nice lacing.
Shanks & toes slate & all...I have alot of them

bred to a Marans would give you an excellent Olive egger...and watch for OEs to have just a smige of feather on their shanks.
Other than that, my OEs look like my Ameraucanas

Blue Ameraucana is what I thought also.

I'm very glad you both think so!!!

Makes me feel much better for the amount I paid for the hatching eggs LOL

Where are you getting it?

From a guy in Stanwood. It seemed like a decent price for a good looking cedar coop. He raises chickens and builds coops as a hobby. Really nice guy too.

two different drugs, sand clear, plus probiotics and this poor gelding still has liquid manure. Should have started to firm up a couple days ago. Looks like we will be taking a trip to the vet to get him flushed out.
The owner is of NO help. Expects me to do everything, even though he doesnt pay me any board. Im about ready to give him a 30 day vacate notice, or give him the option of paying $175 a month in board. This horse has been here for 6 months, and he has yet to pick up ONE pile of manure!

He holds me accountable for the sand that HE brought in, he didnt take my advice on laying down stall mats, I warned him his horse would get sick from eating off the sand!

To top it off, he has only excersised his horse maby a dozen times in 6 months! Expects me to do that as well! HELLO I am not allowed to ride! Dr. say no way! My sister has tried to exersise him regularly, but his phisical condition has gone down hill massively. It kills me to see him sit out there!

owning a horse isnt just paying for feed and vet! You have to work with them as well! There no point in having $1500 worth of tack and other equipment if your not going to use any of it!

Sorry guys. Just majorlyy stressed out over all this. had to make a last minute cancleation of my own dr.s appointment today, because the horse has to go to the vet, and said owner doesnt have a trailer. he isnt allowed to haul my trailer without iether me my sister, or my cousin with him. As everytime he does, it comes back damaged!!!

Stepping off my ranting chair now...

I dont have any pink bags, but I have lots of green ones that I refuse to throw away!

They also make adequate wind screens for wire runs.

And I'm going to make the sheep a thorn-proof coat out of the next empty alfalfa pellet bag.

Was he on Craigslist? If so, I considered those. Looked nice but didn't have the kind of run I wanted. You should pics when you get it set up.

Also- is it OK to go into a state thread and ask if someone has eggs for sale in a particular location? One of my old online friends has lost her egg-vendor to some sort of bad luck on the chicken-keeper's part and is looking for another. The idea of looking at the BYC TOS fills me with dread, especially on a day when I'm already overloaded with duties and projects.
