I go on NorCal all the time & gave away 11 Emus there to some BYCers in NorCal....
You can 'visit' whomever you like here, in any state.

Look at me. I post more here than my own state.

You need GOATS not sheep.
Sheep get stuck & will stay there until they die.
Goats are what ya need.

Well, goats don't eat grass: what I need is a sheep and a goat, but the budget wasn't there this year.

A sheep, a goat, and at this moment in my life, a dedicated personal servant who works for nothing and is good with the back rubs would be nice.

Goats will eat grass, they just don't like to. A lot of people around here will have their goats in a field of just grass.

Goats are also really hard to keep from eating things you don't want them to eat; eventually Bacchus will mostly be in the yard, and the goat or goats have run of the well area and the driveway, at least until we get the blackberries and plum root suckers under control. Of course, since I don't want to deal with breeding issues (cows and chickens is enough, thanks) and also do want some economic output, I'm looking at Cashmere wethers, which is just more reason to make coats.

Tyvec is on the list of possibilities; I'm going to try the sacks simply because they're here and canvas is too hard to work besides involving going out to buy the stuff.

Whats CCG?

I believe he means CowGirlGrace. She is on here but has been a bit absent lately. We tend to shorten names like many call the masked man CR.
And BTW

Hey IF ya wanna put some faces and names together Saturday at the show in Stevenson WA would be the place. And ya might meet a few from the other side of the big creek too.

Oh no... For some reason I thought he was a Wheaten Ameraucana...

Unless he happens to be a sport wheaten I can't use him... Oh I feel like such a tool...

I was told that he is a Wheaton when I bought the eggs, but I agree that all I see is a white Ameraucana. I will give Homer another good look and see if I can see any wheaton coloring on him. Other than that he is a very nice rooster. All that means is that he hasn't chased me yet.

Well the night crew is late, and rather tired. I have fed the eel, and other beasties. So good morning to all, and Welcome to the new folks.

Well, I don't know what has gone wrong, but things are not looking good for the eggs. There are a few that look like maybe they might have died a bit back...seems there is a lot of fluid still in there. Also, today is day 20 and I see no action. It has been cold...and we keep the house cool. I probably should have put them downstairs where the temperatures are a bit more regular. Just don't know. Guess we will just wait and see. I will be bummed if no one hatches.

eta: I checked the temp in the incubator a couple times with kitchen thermometers and inside the incubator seemed to be all good. So I just don't know.
