Hey Jaime...you're not too far from me, are you? Can you come help move the coop tomorrow?

My husband's out of town so it is me and my Dad putting it in the back of his truck. I think we will be fine though.

I wish I could have them. If I wasn't so certain that it would put the neighbors completely over the edge. I'm just grateful that I get away with what I do. I would still love to have peacocks, and hens. Have you tried Craigslisting them?

There must be people like me out, that don't as much as the rest of us do about peacocks.

I can so relate. I apparently needed to take the summer off this year.

I don't know if that would work. He's talking about leaving Rochester at maybe 8:00, which would put him here at 9:30 if he's lucky. Are you picking up at 8:00? (ie there at 8:00 vs leaving at 8:00)

PPP Mr. Drake is beautiful. It almost makes me miss my kids at that stage. I hope you all can get some sleep too.

Planning on it.

It would be a very tight window for us to get to my house then me to get to Seattle around 9:30. Mine could sit in the truck for a while if you really need help. It would also be great to meet a local chicken person.

I found my job on Craigslist and I love it!!! Not only do I love it, it was there that I decided I wanted chickens when I saw these guys wondering outside my window. They were allowed to free range around the office. I always got a smile when I saw them out there.

I missed what happened and I know I'm new here and don't know you very well. From experience on other forums, it is healthy to step back from time to time. I was/am part of a gamer parents forum and there were times were things just got deep and a tad too emotional over, what in hindsight, was really nothing. And a few times we got spanked by the mods (even when I was a mod

) I hope the best for you and that you feel better soon. At least with that group, no one stayed away long. Take care of yourself and hopefully I have a chance to get to know you later!

Chickielady, what birds are you trying to find homes for. I was flipping around trying to catch up and got lost.

I'm getting my coop tomorrow! *happy dance* Hopefully the rain doesn't mess up my plans on setting it up. I definitely don't want wet food, bedding, etc. Was this too random/spammy of a post? I've had fuzzy brain all day and can't keep track of my thoughts too well. Thank goodness it is the weekend!!!

I like your post. It was random enough to make my brain happy. The birds are peacocks that someone dumped at CLs. The class had a few things that may help me if I really look for a job. It was a long drive though. I haven't been to Crossroads in a very long time.

Are you not sure if you want to look for a job? Honestly, I had the best luck with Craigslist. I got quite a few callbacks and interviews. I was also enrolled (not sure what the proper term is) with a few employment/temp agencies and they didn't help at all. Which surprised me since many many moons ago, I would have sworn by them. Guess the economy has caused companies to look for people themselves and not pay others to do it.
