CR: Others will not be "bothered". They will be happy to help, just like you enjoyed helping them. This was a lesson God taught me three years ago. I hated to ask for help, I was the helper, always independent. Then I had a brain tumor, and brain surgery. I was totally helpless. And people came out of the woodwork to help. It made them feel good to be able to help. When you refuse help, you deny them the opportunity to do something that makes them feel good. Really. So don't be stubborn. Ask for help. If I lived close to you, I would be happy to help. Actually, I don't even know where Ethel is, lol. I was thinking you are on the other side of the mountains, but now I will have to go look.

Okay, there seems to be an Ethel in Lewis County and one in Benton County. Which one are you in? Lewis County is fairly close, but Benton is many hours away. Where are ya, Rustler?

BTW, loved that pic this morning! Looks like you were having a ball!

Yes I am in Lewis County. Just off Hwy 12 5 Miles east of I-5

Then you are not that far from me! Wed and Thurs I have grandbabies to care for, but I am free Fri-Sun. What could I do to help? You can PM me or Facebook message me (since we are FBook friends--unless you unfriended me, lol) I can feed, water, pick up groceries or animal feed or whatever you need. On Sat I could even bring a sort of snotty 17 year old son, who can lift heavy stuff! You name it, we can help!

Sorry I am not sure who you are on FB but itreally takes a lot for me to unfriend and you would know if I did. DW can do pretty good with feeding and water I just have to oversee and I do have a neighbor who can pick up feed.
I really don't know if anybody understands how bad it hurts me to have to ask for help. I am supposed to be the helper !!!
I could really use some help with firewood. I have a little here that I could use help splitting and putting in the shed. There isn't much. I do have a splitter and crane to get them on the splitter. Yes there are some big blocks.

My heater only goes for 8 hours

and I turned it on around 7-8 PM. Well, naturally, it turned off in the middle of the night, so when I checked it this morning, it told me the greenhouse read at 32 degrees.

I REALLY hope the Bananas are fine.

Tonight I'm not going to turn the heater on until much later. . . . Last night it read 43 degrees when I turned it on, I think I can wait til it reads 38 minimum.

But in good news I finally got what I wanted in Olive Eggers! Had a big batch hatch out yesterday and got a huge assortment, among that, was two tufted OE's! One is rumpless, the other not sure yet. They're not exciting colors but at least they've got feathered shanks and at least one is rumpless. Hoping for at least one girl among the two.

It's electric/plugs in to the wall. We ordered it online and it was the only one in which reviews said work for a big enough area. (that wasn't expensive) Not looking to toast the whole greenhouse, but I at least want the back end warm.

I think it sets a max 8 hours for safety reasons or something.

ETA - my old one doesn't have a max hour setting, which I'm moving into the greenhouse today. This one I KNOW is reliable to heat up a poorly insulated place.

Should be able to do a runtime override.

LOL, Ya right, like everyone knows how to do that!

Let me talk to my 3 boys, 20, 22 and 52 (DH) and see if we can work something out. All three of them are experienced with wood!
