I was wanting a couple more chickens. What breed are yours? We have silkies, wynodottes, Ameracaunas, Buff Orphs.

If you'd like a friendly chicken...get a silkie....they are wonderful. They're like a lap cat or dog.

I'm up in Kingston on the Kitsap peninsula, and I have some three week-ish peeps who will be ready to go to new homes in a few more weeks (when momma is tired of them and/or they're big enough). I don't know genders yet. There are five of them. Daddy is a white Leghorn, and the oldest one's momma is a white Cochin. She's the adopted momma of the other peeps (hey, she sat on them...), who came from a cinnamon-colored "Ameracauna". They are white, with a couple of them having color on their wingtips so far.

All who turn out to be boys will have to go to new homes, as I'm not interested in dealing with two roos. I'd like to keep one of the girls, but interested parties can take any others. I'll post pics soon...too tired right now.

To NEBBO & Pattee

I would love to have them all, however you guys are to far to travel.
Put your posts in Everything else chickens, sell/trade and
any other place you can think of.

P.S.
Try taking your little silkie and hold her while sitting down. Try to calm her. See if that works..have a treat or feed in your hand while holding her...see if that works bofr you give her up. Good Luck!

Yes, I'm there a lot with clients. Usually in late evening to fit their schedules. However, now that I think of it...I had a baby five months ago and have not had any training sessions at Dells in a since then, so I guess saying "all the time" isn't quite accurate. In the recent past usually was there twice to four times a week with different clients.

Soon to start up again.

The Dels store in PO is not that large compared to what I've heard of other locations. But still a great place to buy supplies, feed, and also to do some dog training, always lots of people for distractions and different smells for the dogs to work in.

I think there is a Dels in Puyallup (sp?) you can look up locations on line.

Hi everyone - I live just north of Hoquiam or just south of Lake Quinault . Only my 2nd year having chickens - and loving it - not to mention loving this site - everyone is so helpful.

Had a question about a craigs list ad and hoped someone might know of it or the person adversiting.

I've exchanged a few emails - but they don't offer much info about themselves. It's a bit of a drive for me but I plan to be in the Seattle to pick of my daughter for the weekend and I thought I might be able to swing it - anyone know anything? They said they get some chicks from Privett Hatchery and breed some themselves.

Or does anyone else have a few Blue Andalusian pullets??

Hadn't checked in on this thread for a while but wanted to poke my head in & say howdy again.

I've become a real addict since last time. Sheesh it's bad.

Anyoneknow the number of hens allowed in Tacoma? I found in the Municipal Code that roosters are not permitted but that's all I found.

Just curious... in case, you know... a silkie might follow me home next summer or something...
