Yes I had 26*

We were at 28 degrees. My white silkie and her four 2 week old squeekettes rushed out into it when I opened their door. They've been happily playing since with only rare trips under mom. My blue girl took her 5 day old silkie babies out and they complained so she took them back in under the 40 watt bulb.

It was 56 I here when I got up. My freak of a DH likes that but it's to cold for me to like getting out of bed. I started a nice fire and it's now comfortable in here.

I must be warmer here in the neighborhood. I don't see any frost wilting from the past couple of days. It seems to need to drop into the upper 20s before I have to get things under cover here. It maybe because most of the baskets, and plants are near the house or under the eaves. I don't pull the begonias until they really wilt from the cold.

I need to hae some sort of "off-on" switch automatic thingy like that. It would make my life a lot easier. As it is....I plug in the heat lamps at night and unplug when I leave for work. Hopefully I don't forget and leave it on all day.

Check at places like Home Depot etc. They have devices that you can plug in and then plug heat tape, heat lamp etc into. When temp drops to 35 they come on and then when it warms to a point I dont know it goes off. or like I do I just set things on timers (cause I have lots of timers).
