I did this on one of Calesta's partridge silkie cocks after giving him a soak for about 30 minutes in warm soapy water. Off they came, very nicely. If you haven't tossed them, save the spurs! Brian Decker accepts donations (to add to his couture)

Happy to have you home, even if you are tanned.

Sounds familiar ... twice I have been hospitalized for second-degree sun burns. The second time I got burned at a water park in the late afternoon on an overcast day. We were only there maybe 30 minutes when I realised I did not have any sunscreen on. DH thought my sis was being overly dramatic when she ran to the car to get me some sunscreen. But she had seen the burn I got in college (hospital did not believe it was the sun, they thought I was in a boiler-room accident! - massive doses of prednisone, staring off with 14 pills and 2 big butt shotts a nay then slowly tapering off over a month .... it was horrid). Anyways, DH and I took the red-eye back to Seatte that night, and I ended up vomitting on the plane with sun-sickness. We headed straight for the hospital as I was a giant blister by the time we landed. DH is paler than me, never put on any sunscreen, and barey got pink. My sis tans just thinking about sun; she NEVER burns, and never uses sunscreen

I've been quite amused by the antics of the Grady Taylor cockerel I won. The hen is cute too, but he's just full of beans! Every single time I pick him up he starts crowing his fool head off.

I have two blue wheaten and one wheaten marans I've had for a year- no boyfriend. Need one!
Could anyone take it until Feather Fanciers?

They can test at the show, and I don't believe there is a charge. Do come. The vet has swabbed my birds in the sale area (he swabs a few from each breeder he can get permission from) the last several shows... they seem more concerned about AI.

Do come.

You lucked out on that cockerel from Soggybottom. I hatched 4 chicks from her eggs. Three were gold colored like your Wynona and one was very weirdly marked, lacing is off. Not sure what it is! So many people mess up the Foleys birds because they don't cull like they should. I tried buying hatching eggs from 2 other breeders who supposedly had Paul and Foley lines and I got rid of all of them. The birds I have been working with for several years aren't perfect but so much better than anything I've hatched from other breeders. I'm just going straight to Foleys next Spring for chicks. I'm buying from the source!

Hello CGG:

I need to take a photo of the BCM pullet I hatched from one of those eggs you gave me; she is big and gorgeous! She is 5 months old now. I gave the three cockerals to CL, though I kind of wish I had kept one in place of one of the Barnie boys.

My 2 BCM (one from zgoatlady and yours) are always the first twoback into the coop each evening. They have claimed their own spots to roost, and do not like to share, One sits on the roost right in the center of the coop, against the chicken wire dividing the 2 pens, the younger one sits on a perch in front of the top corner nest box, though on chilly nights I sometimes see she has gone into the box. The EE who hatched her always sits next to her. They have a lot of room on their roost as most of the birds prefer the main roost and squabble over the ends.

It's not frosty this morning
