Depends which Ameraucana you got

One was named Pe'le the other was Hua'hue. Pe'le is the bigger darker one who isn't missing most of her tail.

The Blue Cuckoo Araucana I sadly never got around to naming. I still have a couple Araucana hens who I honestly have yet to come up with a good name for.

Okay thanks. I'll go take a look at her. She's pretty light and may be missing some tail. Is she molting?

Isn't it amazing how fasting It gets dirty! Trying to show a house that has 8 people living in it is a nightmare! This morning I finally just told all the littller kids to go sit in the car cause they were making messes as I was cleaning them!

I can emagine! We have three people, three dogs, and 2 birds residing in our house. lol Im glad the main living area isnt carpeted! At least the lenolium "sp?" is easy to sweep. It also amazes me to this day how much hair Dusty sheds in a couple hours! I swear everytime this old dog breaths she lets loose a few dozen hairs! Big furball that she is!

There's a reason why oriental carpets are highly patterned. A lot of stuff disappears into the pattern. When we bought this house, we were lucky enough to get a bunch of them for good prices at auction.

Oh your auction pains me. They are such pretty birds - and I recognize one of those girls!

If I could have roosters where I live, I'd have a trio of Cloverleaf LF Salmon Favs for certain. The boys are the SO beautiful.

On a side note, DH and I were just outside with the girls earlier and a few had ventured out into the rain. Ondine, one of the Faverolles sisters was near DH and he said, "Hey look at this!" And he ran over to pet her and pet her and she kind of squatted for a few before she slid away from him. He is just so pleased that the Faverolles girls tolerate his attention. He's like a big 3 year old at the petting zoo. So cute. Or maybe he reminds me of Lenny in "Of Mice and Men". Whatever - it was cute. And I'm grateful to the SF's for helping DH feel special.

I hear ya on the dog hair! We have two big fogs that get to come in on the linoleum only but some times it's hard to tell if hair is moving or if the floor is moving!

Okay, I have a little catching up to do. Again, even though I don't respond to everyone's individual messages, I am reading and feeling joy, sadness, relief, hope, empathy and gratitude right along with all of you for all the events in your lives. I think of you often throughout the day, mention each of you during various conversations, "Well so and so on the BYC forum was saying the other day..." and sometimes answer a chicken question for myself when I remember what one of you have advised in the past. It's like I'm carrying around a pocket full of BYC buddies with me everywhere I go. Not a bad thing to have.

Broody, still keeping fingers crossed for your houses, the one you want to sell and the one you want to buy. Wouldn't it be funny if your chickens were a deciding factor in whether or not the house sold? YAY for chickens!
You are close in our thoughts, hoping along with you for best results of your biopsy.

SadieSue Thank you so much for putting into words my very thoughts on this bunch of BYC'ers
I am so greatful to you all for letting me be apart of your lives.

Yes. Both of them are molting.

If her head is beginning to develop a dark brown, she's Pe'le. If her tail is missing and she's quite light and a tad scared and skittish she's Hua'Hue.
