Y'all are confused!!
The Winter Brisk is in Chehalis, Dec 3 & 4th.......................remember?????????????
I am steaming prawns, like I did at the Monroe Show.
I am also going to try to get a green salad together like I did at the Monroe Show.
It would be nice if a few brought diced fruit salad, chucks of melon, pear, etc.
Last show, Blue Duckligs brought curry..maybe just steamed or fried rice would be good?
Easy stuff you do not have to heat is what I am going for.
Crackers, (Gluten free marked, and otherwise) and cold cuts would be great also.
Those of you who can have breads can bring rolls.
Someone else brought paper plates & napkins.
So let's get it together???
Last time I got chewed out by CR for not telling him about "the" potluck.
So I am telling now.
I will bring my table, and we can pot luck on it.
So back to my Q:::
Who likes fresh oysters????????????
I CAN smoke them..maybe do fresh & smoked?
Or just smoked????????????
Heck, I get the smoker going, I can toss some red salmon on it too....

I suggest everyone think LOCAL
And bring what you have, or if not, buy some fresh fruit & such & make a cut up salad.
For example, Stumpfarmer could bring half LGB & Half GP meatballs..............YUM, I am cooking some right now!!

Hey wait a minute! Aren't you a bit unsteady right now CL? I mean, I appreciate your efforts to get some good stuff smoked for our potluck but I do have a concern about you being on your feet more than you need to be. Just sayin', please be careful, and at least pretend you're taking it easy...

Wish I could help more but my car will be packed to the ceiling (if you've even seen me load or unload my little honda at a chicken show, it most closely resembles a clown car).... and I'm from WAY out of town and will be in a hotel the night before. I can bring silverware and/or plates. That I can swing.

What breed? I've had success treating injury-related wry neck in vaulted silkies.

It is a POL pullet rhode island red

Could be injury related? how would you treat?

gingerbread coops! With little gummy chickens! LOL

That is a fantastic idea - I think some clever person should make one! (Not me - my one attempt at gingerbread house was disastrous, with walls tumbling down, little gingerbread people getting cracked in half - oh, the humanity...)

Oh! I am so going to do that! I wonder if I could find some little candy chickens? Hmmmm.....I will have to do some searching. I will take pictures if I am able to pull it off.

He is my bee mentors dad. At least they found his truck that makes it a bit easier as you then have a point to work from but the snow is going to play heck on track/scent.

I do that here too - DH won't touch veggies unless it is spinach or tomato sauce he has a friend who is even worse. He was over for dinner and had thirds of the lasagna - the sauce had all sorts of veggies blended into it, and I grind zucchini and mix it with the meat. It was funny listening to the two of them saying they would certainly notice if I had snuck anything into the sauce. I just cover it with lots of spices and cheese.

Both of these are a repeat of our house, he never comes to the kitchen while I'm cooking ...He he he!

True. Do you know if he was diabetic? That was mentioned.
