For colic I always used Woodward's Gripe water. I had to get it in Canada. I'm not sure that you can still get the original formula. It does help with a upset tummy though. The gripe water is an English thing.

DH tried to make beer once. He mistakenly thought the bubbling/fermenting had tapered off enough to bottle it. There he goes thinking again( he uses that on me all the time so it's my turn now). Anyway, the bottles either exploded or the entire contents bubbled and foamed out upon opening so there was nothing left to drink! We haven't tried it again yet but would like to try. This is the time of year since it has to be kept cool and it's hard in the summer.
Wine doesn't have to be made with grapes. Mom's blackberry wine was wonderful, though admittedly, it wasn't a dinner wine.

If you're moving soon, keep it in a pot. The porch should be fine so long as it doesn't get really cold. Inside, it might come out of dormancy. You can plant any time the ground is not frozen. Be sure to break up the root ball if root bound, and don't bury the flare.

I will add to the thread what has been offered so far. Please feel free to add what ever you can towards the potluck. I do have a question about which day we will hold the main potluck. I can do either day, but prefer the Saturday. It feels like it will be easier for me to con DH into driving me down then. I don't know why I want him to drive, it's not like I can't or wouldn't drive myself.
I love driving my car, even after owning it for over 3 years. Now that I own it outright, I want it detailed. Maybe next moth.
