Ha, Ha.

I'm thinking the next time those Guatemalans and Mayans come by to get roos I'll ask them if they want to trade landscape clean up for them. I will give them all my roos forever! Ha, a landscaper trading for landscaping. Is that what they call an oxymoron? or just 'hiring' employees and paying them in chickens?

Good morning everyone.

CGG I was able to get all 6 girls locked up, now the fun part will be getting into the run to catch said girls... lol Should be an interesting adventure, hopefully I can squeez through the door. Didnt plan on being pregnant again when I built the coop and run...

Thats so funny that you said that because years ago I traded eggs and boiler chickens to a family from India for them to mow my yard.I used to mow yards and light landscaping but when I got pregnant with my now 13yr old I just couldn't do it anymore.

My main worry was getting at least the AM's locked in the coop this morning, as I forgot to do it last night...

Been dealing with a sick toddler, poor thing is miserable. BUT! The girls went rite in with a little food. Unfortunately there feed dish is M.I.A. so I wound up wasting a good portion of what I tossed in to lure them back into the run... Im thinking I might go out and toss down some lose timothy to help with the mud in the run, as its fairly icky. Actually I think thats a very good idea, at least then we wont be slipping around inside the run. Though that might get a couple giggles out of us. lol Nah Ill lay some chaff down.

LOL, maybe I should bring a change of cloths too!

Well, signing off so I can get going up there. Probably be leaving before 10.

Good morning WA peeps!!!
I thought of a maybe good thing for 4321 last night.......maybe it will help, but I would start SMALL with it, as in 1/2 a tab=

NO DOZ.
It is an OTC med that as far as I remember is pure caffiene designed to keep you awake.
So maybe it will help wean you off coffee?

I have spent time watching my birds yesterday, and the hen turkeys look like hell warmed over.......missing wing feathers & muddy!
Actually their tails are very muddy, the rest of the bird looks OK, which is surprising in this mud.

The Tom, the champion from last Fair, and his room mate, look really good, but for tail mud & wingtip mud.
He (they) are happily displaying, spitting & in the process, drag their wingtips in the muck...........argh!!!!!!
Why do I always have white birds??????

So, cleaning everything out of the van today....laying down carpet & putting the crates in...tomorrow is the visit for the reading of the MRI~~~~~~~~
So we get to find out what is going on with the knee.

It occured to me that I probably cannot fit my wheel chair in the van with all the crates...and chairs & table....so, I may be hoofing it at the show.
Hope not, cuz my leg gets tired & then I get wobbly & if someone bumps me, well, you get the idea.
Wednesday I will start washing birds.....the WR pullet will be first, and may require a second bath as she has mud all over her back from roosters

It's not raining. It's not even cloudy, Looks like "red sky at night" proved true this time. I've got to go put up a hanging feeder under the eves of the Wyandotte coop and let Ian and Sylvia out. Of course, now that I finally managed to make all the rain water drain out of the Hamburgs' run, I'm sure we'll have one of those rare open winters from here on out

Luckily my run isnt THAT big, if you slip its easy to grab ahold of the fence! lol You shouldnt need extra chlothes, the muds just really slick but not overly deep...

The regulations in Tacoma are that you have to get your neighbor's permission if your coop is within 50 feet of your neighbor's house. We asked the neighbor before we got chickens, if she had said no, we would not have gotten them. Then we found out that we needed written permission, filed with the city, from our neighbor. She has refused. Our coop is 51' from her house. We have until today to either: get her permission, get rid of the chickens, or get a $1000 fine.

Anyone want some chickens?
