MIA - Regs and local ordinances

I forgot to add one thing. You could tell them that you will remove the "Run fencing" and then the "building they are housed in" will be 51 feet from the house, so no problem! (Even if you don't mean it!). Or you could tell them that the run is portable, therefore not part of the building and therefore doesn't count. (I got away with that one on a small shed)

did I scare you all away - I'm sorry

Since when are dog runs ruled by ordinances? Oh, I live in the country, maybe it doesn't cover us country folks.

I would check and see how far a "DOG RUN" has to be from the neighbours' fence. Probably can have one a lot closer than 50 feet!

not enough time to keep up sadly... rebuilding my fence that blew down in the storm.

Again or a different section.

same side but different section... whole thing needs to be replaced but to much $

ok, I'm bored. All the relatives went home, and it's SO quiet here now. Finished the chores. Maybe I'll do taxes. Oh wait, that's not for another few months.

Ho hum. . .

Did I mention I'm getting some baby ducks in the spring? Getting some Welsh Harlequins. I have four already, and a Hatchrite, which we aren't afraid to use. So we are going to hatch 100 Muscovies, and maybe a dozen Harlies, and some chickens of course.

ho hum . . .

I know what it's like - we had to replace a huge section of ours. Pain, isn't it?

yes doubly so as I don't drive so I have to make a materials list, bribe someone to take me to the hardware store who has a truck, haul it to back yard and pray I did not forget something or miscount....
at least it is "inside" the garden area so no critters get out of the yard but they can't go clean my garden up now

Well, I don't have much of a "garden", it's mostly shrubs, but even if I did, the fence doesn't stop the birds. Being electric, it does keep out the predators though. I'm not sure how the birds manage to stay alive - the only losses so far have been from hawks, and they only took the babies.

Sorry you have to bribe someone, must be hard being dependent on others for help.

It is hard not being able to drive due to vision.... or lack of vision.
There so many things I could do/get/visit/play if I could move around on my own. But I'm lucky, Seattle has a good transit system
I can go to stores, dinners, work, friends etc fine just can't haul gear or supplies unless I can carry it on a bus.

I'm reading but feeling pretty zapped today, DH is home and everything therefore takes longer, what with the falling over him, having to pound on the back door because he locked it "so you won't whack the washing machine while I'm filling it" and then walked away leaving it locked. Grrrrrrrrr... (The front door was still locked, too, but since all I needed to do was let the dog in and pick up a tool I'd left on the washing machine it was particularly annoying).

Mia, I wish I had a solution for your chicken/neighbor/inspector problems. Said neighbor deserves to have you move away and have the relatively quiet chooks replaced with five or six midsized yappy dogs or one stinky pig.
