We have friends coming to celebrate Christmas on the 26th (They are flying back from Hawaii on Christmas Day - cheap airline tickets!). Friday we are dong the Argosy parade of boats thingy again - mostly a chance to get together with friends for a few drinks while the kids run around in a contained environment. I may have an extra ticket for the 3:00 Kirkland sailing as I doubt Don will make it. We are on one of the follow boats, Goodtime II I think. You may have met Diane at Octoberfest, she will be going. I'll post here if the ticket is available. Any intrest in taking it?

I'm thinking of doing a pre-New Years Party next Friday with a White Elephant gift exchange - I may put together a White Trash home spa package ... Dippity Doo, Jean Nate, big pink foam rollers (because I can't eat enough Campbells for the soup can rollers....)

We went to a party Saturday with a white elephant exchange, they did not separate the kids from the adults, and Alex ended up with a thermos of Kru Vodka, and a rugged guy ended up with the "Hello Kitty" day planner that Olivia donated.

Why are there stupid links in my post? I did not put them there!

I am having problems posting and loading pages...stupid internet.
Ogress pain meds will make you very nausaeus (sp) especially if you are not used to taking them. read the MG on them, 5 mg is the usual, anything bigger than that is going to make you puke if you are not used to them. I split mine in half and make sure I have eaten something that is easy on the stomach before taking them. then I go to bed ...
Pettec said it well, pain is debilitating. I sure hope you find out what it is, my DH had lots of pain in his leg, turns out it was a degenerating disc in his back that they only found with MRI. they fixed him surgically. then wrote him scripts for all sorts of pain meds...good lord...he donated them to me, I have a stupid doctor who told me that crohns disease is not painful...

It looks delicious.

It's a good thing that I made a BBQ pot roast for dinner yesterday. Otherwise I could get a bit jealous over the good food.

But my BBQ smoked pot roast turned out fabulous. Now I get to make stew. I just wish I liked stew better than I do. I make great stew

, but I still think of my mothers stew

, and don't even like the look of stew.

Oh good, they are gone. It looked like I was selling cheap airline tickets, spa packages and Dippity-Do!

That doesn't sound right. Perhaps your browser has been hijacked. It would only appear on your computer.

My thought is "Do you know what they call the guy that finished last in his class at med school?"

Doctor

I also think about how many people cheat their way through school.

It scares me a bit.

My computer must be doing something wacky - "Pain meds" in your post shows a link on my computer.

The Dr. today said DH may have a ruptured disk. I just never know what to believe with DH as he runs to the Dr. for every ache and pain. I have no clue anymore when to take him seriously. I'm also angry with him now as he easily spends 15 hours a day on his computer, working and gaming. I'd like it if he spent an hour or two each day and more in the weekends if need be helping me around the house, or interacting with the kids in a positive manner; there is a lot that needs to be repaired inside and out, and the kids just think Dad is a grump who likes to play video-games.

I think that one of the neighbors thought we had a bunny. Otherwise the officer must have been going door to door asking. We only had one bunny at the time. I often let her roam the yard, and that night I didn't check to make sure she was in her hutch. I still get the giggles when I think about the officer asking us to identify the bunny.
