Darling pup! So, is it Bulldog-and or Pug-and?

I've managed to get the minimum decorations on the tree (lights, the faux Hummel resign figurines Dad got me for the first Christmas we were married, white balls with Madona and Child, blue ones with Bethlehem or the pattern I think as gloria mundi in gold, a gold star on top and a flight of angels. It's slightly more than our Charlie Brown tree can take, but oh, it smells of Christmas: doug fir sap, messy though it is, is my seasonal incense.

People have helped me with feeding the birds: they've gotten frozen corn on the cob for the day and will get some good ground beef tomorrow.

I don't think I'm going out tonight, just grocery shopping and dressing the tree was pretty much what I can do right now.

It's a pug/beagle mix...also called a puggle.

Yes, I do. They are aweful! One entered our dog, probably through the nose. One day there was a huge hard mass on her side. We took her to the vet who biopsied it thinking it some kind of cancer. Long story short, after many visits, dollars, drain tubes etc a foxtail ended up working its way out! As soon as it was out the lump healed and went away. Hate those things. Get into everything. I suppose they look good in Spring when green since it's the only green thing in Cali.

Actually the greenest most healthy living plant in California, is the Poison Oak, which can grow to 10 feet tall in the Clear lake area...glossy, healthy, no insects will touch it...
Second is the lovely creosote bush, which has been seen to grow a good 10 feet around...uglylier than sin..........
HATE THAT PLACE!!!!!!!!!
Every native bush or grass has spines, stickers, needles or poison oil on it.
You cannot walk about in T-shoes & socks for the burr clover & sticky little seedy things impossible to get out of your socks...between that & the rattlesnakes...they can have the place!!!!!!!

Remember the goathead thorns?

OK, I kicked everyone out of the house so I could get it cleaned up and ready for tomorrow. So, house is cleaned (sorta), fire going in the wood stove, all the scented candles going and Micheal Buble Christmas going and no one is here! Well, it was nice for a while but now I need them home.
