I have been "thinking" about you for weeks and just sending up the best wishes for recovery and prayers for peace in the moment for each day for you. Maybe because it is so late when I get set down at the 'puter, maybe(?) but I do know that I am in tears of restrained joy that you may have better news. Life is hard but we need to enjoy 'living' -- does that make sense.

cyber hugs,

k/

this is about you, so I don't care about the chickens at this moment =:~)

Could you grieve so for your daughter without a soul?

This is irritating me.
Constantly as he wants it to.
I too, have lost a daughter, a human daughter.
A baby girl.
And ya know, I have gotten over it, and do not hold it constantly in front of me with great bitterness as you do.

On the floor of the coop, under the highest roost, was an egg. Apparently Juno laid it sometime in the night - and thankfully we use a lot of coffee chaff which is really soft because the egg survived! I know Juno was in the nestbox late last night because there was much chicken drama about the other girls wanting to go in the coop for bed and she was trying to lay and gave up.

Has this happened to any of you?

We have been having much ruckus since our pullets started laying. Although we have two accessible coops with a total of six nesting boxes - everyone likes the one nest box

I found a few eggs under the roost. It usually happens when I have some pullets starting to lay...I just figured they didn't "get the feeling" means lay an egg...

That is good you got soft bedding!

You are not the only one.

Never once claimed to be the only one. Sounds like there has been sufficient time for you to heal. I'm sure the amount of 'sufficient time' varies for all of us. Tis interesting to me how some people here can be supported and others.....

We have supported you and we will continue to. Reread the posts at the time back in May. I'm sorry this Christmas was so hard for you.
