Ok, I must say there is NOTHING like a good Louis L' Amour movie and ESPECIALLY when Tom Selleck is in it!! I love Cross fire trail!!

they have a bunch of Bay roans and red roans... some nice looking horse flesh!!! Not to mention the scenery !! Actually I didn't take a good look at the credits, have to see where it was filmed, it's supposed to by WY... but sometimes they film in MT.

That is so nice of you to say! Of course I've always thought she was pretty, but might be a little biased... When you had mentioned that day that she reminded you of an angel from a Renaissance painting, this was the photo I had wanted to show you! We've always referred to it as her, "Mona Lisa Lily" photo but now that you mention it, it probably is more reminiscent of a Botticelli. I had just shot it with my camera phone one day while we were shopping at a mall in downtown Portland, but it's still one of my favorites...

Wait, did someone say that in Tacoma you are allowed an unlimited number of chickens? I'm assuming no roosters, but still...

Every jurisdiction has their own rules, of course, and when we were looking for a new home here in Michigan four years ago I knew I wanted livestock so checked out the zoning regulations on every property we seriously considered. The place we ended up buying is 10 acres, zoned agricultural, but the zoning reads only 4 chickens (or combination of any type of fowl) per acre so I can only legally have up to 40 birds here. But they could all be roosters. Bwhaa haa haa, neighbors!

OK so far I have not wanted more than 40 chickens. And those limits would not hold up if this was considered a commercial farm under the MIchigan Right to Farm Act. (What is considered a "commercial farm" is quite disputed, some claim if you sell a few eggs you are a farm, but the court decisions have been mixed on that one, some imply there must be some profit making potential...)

Anyway, really, unlimited chickens in Tacoma? What are the details of the law?

Well, got to go take care of chores but wanted to post for computer buffs here, my system has 512 MB of RAM -Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU, 28000 GHZ-
whatever that means....so is it enough ?
Do I need more ?

Did a disc check this morning, degragged last night....seems to be a little less constipated this morning, a little faster.

I do not know what "normal" RAM is, so cannot tell if I have too little or not.
Maybe others can say what they have ?

uhmm... most people have 2 GIG... my laptop has 8GIG of ram....some desktops can do 16 GIG now...... me thinks its time to get a new computer....

I can't remember if I have posted this here. I have posted it in the Emergencies and got no replies.
See one of our Am B pullets has been found a few times laying on her back. She is about a year old. She was just laying there calm. When we picked her up and put her back on her feet she would kind of stagger off and then act fine. then we haven’t seen this for a month or 2. Now yesterday I went into their coop and there she was laying on her back looking around. I put her back on her feet and she staggered off and out side. She has also taken to sleeping out in the rafters of their run. I had been going out every night and putting her on roost in the coop but in this lousy weather I got lax plus due to the snow couldn't’t get into their run where she was sleeping. Any idea what may be wrong with this little girl?

Quit leavin the 'shine where she can get to it!

CL. Yes, try to get total of 3 more gigs of ram in it. Even 1 more ram you'll notice a difference.
Will help big time.

Won't solve everything as far as this site goes as I have 4 gigs as well as a very clean computer that is on a tight maintenance program always kept clean.
Slowest site I go to is BYC.
Hopefully this is not their finished product and it will load faster as well as give us back our more posts per page option like we had before the change.

BTW. If you watch Craigslist faithfully and yes it's going to be harder down where you live I have picked up very nice Dell laptops for $100.00
Takes just the right timing but it can be done. Buying my third one next week for a $100.00

I really like the laptop now over my desk top.

I have never had problems just buying it yet buying on line I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Lot of great deals out there but a lot of them get you at shipping cost so they are bunch of cons. Have heard good things about New Egg. Those are good prices then adding in free shipping that is fantastic!

I have a Rooster from Hoss also, I have to get a picture of him so show RR and everyone, he is wonderful I tell you. My guy is Blue and is gal is a splash. I just love this breed they are great! They are my Fav breed for the bird

Yes - RAM would help your situation a lot. Depending on what you're doing - you want at least 2 GB RAM (512 is basically 1/2 GB); and if you had 4 GB you'd be going much faster.
