So, justbugged and Zgoatlady are from Enumclaw. (Enumscratch as we used to call it and sadly think that was a clever zing...). I grew up down the road in Buckley. I know, I know, arch rivals and all that, but since you were bigger and usually better at everything, I hope you'll forgive me for my origins. In fact, during high school I saw a list of the class offerings at Enumclaw High and was green with envy, you had so much more variety than we did at White River. I personally would have changed schools in a heartbeat. This no doubt reveals a sad lack of school spirit, but it was what it was.
Any Buckley people ever check in here? Haven't been back there in a few years now, since my parents passed, but used to get back several times a year and was always amazed at the growth (and the traffic!) compared to when I lived there. Of course, I graduated from HS in 1981, ao it's been a long time....
My DS and DDiL live in Buckley. They are just off off Mundy Loss Rd. Bonney Lake is nearly unrecognizable, if compared to what it was when I moved out here 20 years ago. Enumclaw and Buckley are very nearly the same. I don't know much about the schools out here, except that at one point Enumclaw had the highest rate of std's. We homeschooled our 2 kids. They have finally gotten 4 lanes on Hwy 410 all the way to 234th. It would make things easier if they could run 4 lanes all the way to Enumclaw. These 2 towns have very little change in them. It was a big deal when we got a Walgreen's store here in town. lol I would love to move out of this town, but my DH seems to love it there. I would love to be either closer into the city, or far enough away to have some acreage and privacy. I hate being stuck in suburbia. So welcome to the Washington thread.
