Ha ! My brothers were not even born yet.
When my Dad went in the AF, we were with Daddy Leslie all the time...we were family & Leslie took care of his & my family.
Leslie and my father Vic, were best pals in GRADE SCHOOL.
So even now my brothers call DH & I a Incestual relationship !

Every Thanksgiving, every holiday, every other plain old week end...we were together.
Out to the beach surf fishing...and all us kids got a bath like a litter of puppies.
Deer hunting...pheasant hunting...(dreaded walking the ditches in the rice fields with the dogs) Shark fishing off the San Mateo Bridge.............always together.
Lesl;ie is DH's Daddy who just lost his wife, DH's Mom last year.
Most remember the sad story.
She is seen on the right of the picture, my Mother on the left.
Now ya have a bit more insight as to why our home we are building will have an elevator & 4 foot wide hallways...and enough rooms for all our parents.

It is nice to see two families who have been so close and loving for so many decades.

Is there anything funnier than chickens playing keep away with sliced zucchini?
Nope - didn't think so!
And I have to wonder how one of my buff brahmas ended up in the enclosed poop catch underneath the roosts.
I found her there this morning - no poop on her - but she was just kind of quietly hanging out down there. Now I know who's laying the pale brown eggs.
Or at least, I did when I pulled her out. It was either Ingrid, Nugget or Hillary. Absolutely no way to tell those three apart. Their size and markings are identical. Just glad I'd added a new layer of shavings last night!

I was enjoying the sun and making the best of trying to fix a serious break down on my junkin truck. Just minding my own business when all of the sudden I felt something hit my neck and then the instant STING ! ! ! DANG IT JIM ! ! ! ! Dang Yellow jacket. Since theplantain isn't much good this time of year I had to go in the house and get the sting away.
I would rather get 10 honey stings than one yellow jacket.

Ouch! Sorry about the sting, CR.

last week I found this on my bottle of mouthwash as I was reaching for it... glad I looked first...

I've heard some people say mouthwash can sting, but this would be entirely different! Glad you were able to catch and flush it!

Today is my day off - I went and got my hair cut and the roots colored to hide the grey. DS just got home from school, and he paid me a compliment, but then he did not shut his mouth in time.

"Mom, I like your hair, now the only part of you that looks old is your skin."

Don't worry Ogress, most kids think anyone over the age of 20 is ancient history, I'm sure your skin is just fine!
And I hope you've used up your quota of bad days.

pity the poor tourists ... though possibly there are places on the island where it isn't raining ... we just can't see them from here
our friends Dave and Ruth tease us that we "always bring the rain with us" ... their suburban farm needs the precip ...
the chickens are back in underneath the kukui trees where the rain rarely penetrates ... and NO rooster survived the year (ha ha)

But it's a warm rain!

Ah, you have kukui trees...I love kukui nut leis!
Much aloha your way.

Okay....I was almost in tears......

The Lord has provided me the ability to go to watch my boys at Regionals and at State (in Tacoma - this is why I have been talking with T HI). Plus has made our monthly financial situation much more doable.

Seriously...this has all happened within the last 30 days.

It was meant to happen! So glad you will be able to be there for your boys, that in itself is priceless.
