Sad day today. Just got back from the vet with Abby. She woke up today with one of her front leg knees/elbows? really swollen and I forget what they called it, something with an H, fluid on the joint, can't drain it. Prednisone or Surgery were the only options and he advised neither at this time. While examining her, said he didn't like the sound of her breathing, he could tell she had limited lung capacity and suspected lung cancer. The x-rays confirmed. She came home with me because she still has a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye, but he said it would be soon. He guestimated a month if we are lucky, probably much less. :hit

It is a good day to crawl under the covers and hide away for awhile.....................

:hugs x2 or however many you need

amusing you should be talking about teeth and the dentist -- DH and I just got back from our annual visit

poor hygienist had to scale and scale and pick and ultrasound mine, but otherwise no cavities, all ok

Dr Yamada's dental team is awesome; professional, gentle, soft spoken, and very good about telling you exactly what they are about to do

DH however ... has to go get a root canal ...

I went out to my green house yesterday to water...getting a nice crop of broccoli & beets & green cabbages.
But I noticed the 3 big fuschias that I hung in there last fall (that looked so dead ) are all sprouting tiny buds !

I thought they would die over this last strange winter even in an unheated green house.

kewl beans !

Weird weather is right... My hosts are coming in, so are my tulips. Its too early for them. Now I have to put poultry net over them, or they will be chicken fodder.

poultrymom, hugs from Michigan. Hope it is quick even though I know its hard. I have a kitty cat brat that is also ailing, but as long as he continues to beat up his brother and the 6 yrs younger cat and my 2 dogs, then he is all good.

Well my sweetie pie Einstein has been fixing the old man's car that used to live next door.
A Ford wagon...seems the computer had odd code coming in & DH hooked up his computer & read the codes out, then he had to chage tranny fliud, do a tune up, oil change (nightmare oil filter was between the exhaust manifold (1/2") and the starter solenoid (1/2") hard to get a wrench on it & had to jack the car up...all in this lovely weather with NO COVER.
Oh and some other issue with the Oxygen sensor.................
Guess he is going to need his Naproxen tonight !!
He just came in & shed his 100 pound carhart coat...reminds me of Cheryl !!!
Poor guy, I have been watching him all day with the rivers of water running down the driveway.
Sheesh !
