I'm really looking forward to putting faces to names....I've met a few and I look forward to meeting everyone!!! Have a good evening...

Emergency - please help - Puyallup area

Some dogs got into our coop. Out of 7 chickens, 1 is missing, 1 is dead, and 2 are seriously injured. We need someone to take the remaining 3, as they are not safe here, and we don't have a means of humanely putting the other two down. This could not have happened at a worse time, we have no money for vets or even buying more chicken wire. We have secured the coop as best we can, but don't feel that we can safely keep the birds here anymore, until we are able to fortify the enclosure better. If you have room for a few more in your flock, we would be grateful if you could give our girls a home. They were excellent layers, obviously might not be laying normally for a little while after this. Please email me at [email protected] if you are able to help. Thank you.
I am to far away, can anyone help these people please? if nothing else show them how to put the injured ones down...

Hello Rob! I told you I would jump in and say hello and hello to everyone in our beautiful state!

I'm so sorry for your loss. When I first started raising chickens, my neighbors dog killed one of mine as well.

I am in North Bend. I don't have any room for more hens at the moment, but I thnk one of my co-workers is looking for a few hens. I will see her tomorrow and can pick up the chickens on Tuesday morning if that works for you. Or I may have some leftover chicken wire and a few scraps of hardware cloth
