Ya know your the second Michigander that has done that!! It's funny that no one knows where it is?? No we are actually from MI! we transplanted to WA when I was 12. Most my kin are from the surrounding DE troit area!! LOL
We had a 15 acre farm in Oxford, right outside of Lapeer when I was 5, we had everything!! Pigs, cows chickens horses ponies! Oh cept goats!! And yea, I bet you could just stop by and say hey!! No they don't have any chickens, dad tried keeping Peafowl but I think they took off! He doesn't get around too good, and mom has enough work to do taking care of what he can't take care of!! LOL!! She doesn't need the extra work for sure!! They only moved back there cause my Gram needed help, that was over 2yrs ago, then she passed last Feb, but, by then they had already bought the house, so they can't really do much about it, for a while, they are having problems with the cold, I think they will eventually try to go south.
Oh yea, and I was a Upper for a little bit! Lived in Gwinn for a year!! LOL

So, if we are going to trip into the past, let me say the things I remember, and miss are,
Better made potato chips, Fago rocknrye, and Kawalski sausage!! LOL!
You can tell part of my nationality eh?? Oh and every now and then, you will see me post,
"you betcha!!"
LOL how's that for being a Michigander!!

Oh yea, just one last thing, when I first got back into chickens, I started researching Buckeyes,
I told my friend, I wasn't sure if I should get them cause my dad would be offended!! LOL
He's a Blues fan!!! LOL

Im hesitant to plant anything here just yet! Every morning I have been waking up to frozen ground... So im guessing that its still too early to plant. I dont have a hot frame or green house... Everything I plant has to go directly into the ground... And lets face it. I have NO clue how to be a gardener. lol For me its all hit and miss.

So Im thinking maby another 2 weeks before I even concider doing any planting, and even then who knows if I will be able to do it at that point in time... Im running out of time before the baby arives! Almost starting to panic. 17 days left until I am at full term!

Im a little aprehensive, and can feel myself getting very nervous. Im ready to "evict" the little one, but at the same time, Im not sure Im ready... Chloe is very excited, and keeps telling "her baby" that its time to come out of mommas belly... lol very cute.

But with the due date change, this means that little Emily might make her appearance even before we have the baby shower... I am SO not ready. I have both chloth and disposable NB diapers, 2 outfits, 2 recieving blankets, a crib and a carseat...

I know things will work out just fine once all said and done, but Im turning into a nervous and restless wreck.

I have 2 hot frames and so far all but 6-8 Paste tomatoes planted, did the red cheese sweet peppers yesterday also.
There is still 3/4 room in 1 hot frame & a whole empty one left, so lots of room & should be able to set them in the green house when they are full up to the top of the hot frame glass.

They grow fast in there though, it is ideal conditions, so if I plant too too soon, they will reach the glass & have to be planted in the green house too early.

The squash grow fast & get so big they can block out the light with their big leaves, so they get planted last.
Next thing that gets planted will probably be a week or so & be the cucumbers, armenia "hot house" type, and those for salad & Bread N butter pickles.
