Good Morning Peeps... I hope everyone is well. Got a break in the weather so gotta go out and clean out coops. Does anyone have any suggestions on when I should put my pullets outside with my other girls. They are 7 weeks old today. I dont mind them in the house I just think they need more room.

Snow here in Olympia too. Oh well . . .

Just checked the hatcher, and no more pips or movement. Today is day 22, so looks like I only have the seven. No problem, it was really mostly a test to see if it was still working. CL, only 2 of yours hatched, 2 Javas. One Java and the Buckeye were clear.

We set a dozen Muscovies yesterday, and probably set another dozen in a day or 2.

Got my order in for CornishX at the feed store, so looks like busy times are a coming.


Anyone want a Speckled Sussex (10 months), a Black Australorp (18 months?) a Barred Sock Rock (18 months?) or a nice laced EE (10 months) all laying really well ($5 each - this is really cheap for good layers - got to cut down).

The pullets need to be about the same size as your older girls to give them a fighting chance.

Ok I dont want anymore snow. Went in a hour late and with as little of snow a 2 inch or so the bus slid and than the brakes are wet and it doesnt want to slow down. Than oh the guy who just pulls out in front of me REALLY I dont stop on a dime DA! Its still snowing here hard hope the temps dont drop out on us.. Ok sorry people really dont think when they pull out in front of big yellow bus's that it takes a bit to stop fast oh and the kids on the bus too..

Well got to eat something than go and see if I can get the motor fixed in our pellet stove, no heat down stairs with out it. Well do have a little barn heater on wonder what that's going to cost..

I have one you keep in the freezer & get out to make ice cream when ever you want.
It is in CA in storage.
I think I can waite for DH's next trip down there in about 3 weeks.

It is raining here, 45 and the 3" of snow is melting...slushy slippery slidey......

I still want chicken enchiladas !!!!!!!!!!!!

and home made ice cream !!!

I was planning to clean out the van & put in the extra carpet & load crates & get organized today...............they are calling for thunder storms here today.OH GOODIE !!!
