I don't have computer access here in the hospital but will get back online in a few days when I get home.

Well, good!

Except not for being sick and in the hospital, but good for the ways we can take care of each other by passing knowledge and experience along!

Speaking of Ogress & her awful flu and then the staph.............also another red, burning weeping infection you can get during or directly after a virus/flu, is the chickenpox after-infection....cannot remember the name.anyways, having a virus can occupy the immunal system and the chicken pox infection can then recur.
Painful...burning, oh yeah it is shingles.

Horrifc patches of skin just fall off exposing (practically) your meat...weepy seeping burning.
I had 2 large patches of it once around my neck & upper chest.only thing that stopped the burning pain was ice right on the meat........................3 days later I awoke to find it completely healed over but a slight pinkish spot where it was.

Very weird !
It was shingles I was thinking she had.

OMG Im so glad you went in. I just cant belive all the bad bugs out there right not. GET BETTER SOON! Im so sorry.

Its zipping.

So despite the fact that the temps were all over the place I have one that is zipping. The other one I don't expect much out of as it didn't set until the day I set the broody eggs. so sometime in the next day or so.

Can't wait they will either be black or blue silkie.

What A great idea ! Chickens as an Anniversary present

I wonder how many chickens I could get my lovely DW for OUR anniversary ? How about a DOZEN chickens,each with a red rose taped to its back ? How could anyone turn that down. RIGHT ???

You just have to make sure the chickens don't eat the roses off each other!
