Yes put fan where is was recommended and by the holes the only place it would go, I have a digital therm going down the vent hole at egg level and I have the (not sure what a wafer therm is) therm that came with it, ( looks like the glass kind) on top the eggs, for the most part the digital and conventional therm have been pretty close in temp. I knew cooler is better but, if it's dropping to 95 or 96 which it has on several occasions ?? Ok, well I will see if I can find another non digital to put in there too!!

Moved most of my babies from the back room to the coop today. They are about 6 weeks old and bursting out of the brooder. I set up an X pen for them with 2 heat lamps. I have done this every year for 8 years and still think they will be too cold. I even brought the 2 smallest back into the house for the night. Maybe I will move them out again tomorrow.

The other Moms are swimming with chicks as well, and are watching the show !



I have to watch the java, if her chicks get out of that box they cannot get back in..............

I wondered how broodys would do together with raising chicks together. Looks like they are doing well together.
