This weekend I actually have stuff going on...was kind of hoping to bring husband with me too to help me drive and know where it is I am going. Monroe I can do by myself and I have a place to stay. I am so sorry. I know this is a terrible inconvience for you and I want my turkeys.


Okay I may be able to help here. I had troubles getting the new bator dialed in, so I am now interested in turkeys too. If I get the turkeys to Enumclaw, and can keep them until Chinook Pass opens, will that help? I would even consider meeting at the top of the pass, unless anyone less would be interested in going in on the deal on the Yakima side? I am also open to a road trip out to the coast to visit with CL aka Robin.

This is so my fault! I haven't gotten Chloe's doll's quilt done yet. If I would get it and the taxes done this weekend, things would be all lot better in the universe.

A very good friend of my parents - who was a brilliant architect, had a very large firm here in town and a wonderful and sweet man - fell on the ice the year before last and hit his head. His wife was out of town at the time. He had a headache for a few days, but by the time he decided to have someone take him to the hospital it was too late and he passed away hours after being admitted because of the bleeding going on in his head for those couple of days. Someone can be walking around, acting perfectly normal and then die. The actress Natasha Richardson died after hitting her head while skiing - thought she was fine but was gone within 24 hours.

I would urge anyone I care about to never ignore any head injuries no matter how inconsequential they may seem. I would rather be accused of over reactingor making a big deal out of nothing, and feeling foolish than have it be a fatal error.

I lost my cousin who was 15 at the time to a head injury. She and a group of friends were playing around on a slow moving car in an alley. Then she fell and hit her head. She died nine days later. We were only 9 months difference in age. I have always wondered what it would have been like, had she finished growing up. I know that my uncle missed her the rest of his life.

Well I am caught up with the thread for now. I still need to get the clean sheets on the bed, and another load in the washing machine. I also need to get the last 4 chicks over to the auction in the morning. So I guess I should go get things done, and the nasty little dogs in bed for the night.
