This is exactly what I want...probably a bit bigger..but what I want.

This is 6 x 12. The front wall is 7' and the rear wall is 6'. The roof size is 10 x 16 to achieve a large overhang due to the wet we get here in Rochester.
Part will store my outdoor tools, but most will be for the Girls. I also raised it about 16 inches so they can get out of the rain, the sun and the wind after I finish the skirting. I figure b4 long they will scratch out the grass underneath and create their own dust baths area.

Ameraucanas at the co-op are really easter eggers.

Ahhhh, thank you! The guy did say that they lay greenish eggs!

what type of bantam did you get?

No clue. LOL Been on the internet, trying to match. She is a fast little sucker so will try to get pics tomorrow. I know in the bin, that my nephew got her from, it said Bantam and then listed a few types. But I was so focused on making sure my nephew didn't drop the chick, I forgot to look or ask the guy.

I got two " Ameraucana's" awhile back they were hatched March 5th. They both looked exactly like that when I got them... Any " Ameraucana, Americana or anything like that you order from a hatchery or get at coop/ feed store are EE they are not true Ameraucana's. Here are a picture of my chicks I also have amerucana (EE) who was hatched in Sept. Here is what she looks like. And a pic of her first egg she laid 3/30..( its the green one) she looked the same as chick just a little darker then yours

This baby has what is called "duck wing" genetics.....and more than likely is an EE, but should be very pretty.
Duck wing varieties have a barred band on their wings, like a Mallard duck has.
Some of the breeds that are duck wing include Penedensca and Wellsummers.
But no true pure blooded Ameraucana has duck wing chicks.
What was bred into the Am line caused the duck wing...so what you will get is a minty green egg.

This is my first round with chickens as well I got my first ones last April this chat has helped me a lot. There are a lot of great ppl willing to help whenever they can. As for EE from what I have heard they tend to be a little more flighty then some other breeds but Falcon (our EE ) is not to bad. She is however the one always on top of the coop climbing up the swingset. My kids 2,5 and 8 carry her around and love to feed her worms. Just a side note they do take a little longer to lay their first egg normally between 26-33 weeks from what I have read instead of the18-22 week normal. My daughter waited for ever for her first egg But since she started laying on the 30th I have gotten an egg from her every day. I also have a EE chick that is a week and a half and she is a very light cream almost white so EE come and many colors but from what I have seen yours will end up similar to Falcon. But its always fun to watch them grow and even more exciting to wait to see what color eggs she will lay. EE or Easter Egger's can lay green, blue, pink or even brown eggs.

Which is always great if you like a little color in your egg basket.
