Hey I found you!!!! Wow those are some pretty beat up chickens. I have never had a fight that bad. It is normaly a few feathers pulled out and that is it! Hope they are not hurt to badly.

I have never had my chickens fight at all. So this is all new to me. I got the two seperated at the moment.

Today, 2 of friend's black copper maran's started going full bore fighting. hackles up, jumping in air and everything. Weird thing, the 3rd maran got in the middle of the 2 and kicked at both of them until they stopped. I don't know it mystified me a bit.

I don't know any more. I posted the head shots over on the Marans forum and someone said to keep the two cockerels separate.

Seems kinda weird to me that your marans would be fighting each other. Or do I have that wrong did they get into a fight with your current girls?

Oh I am so excited to see my babies tomarrow! I will have a hard time sleeping tonight. Excitement always gets the best of me when it comes to getting new animals.

Nope they are fighting against each other. Your babes are a peeping away. they were eating out a Tupperware lid. But their food was going all over the place so I got a chick feeder. I am not sure if they have it figured out yet.

I was thinking you possibly do because they both have some what large waddles. How old are they? I knew that I had 3 cockerels when they were 4 wks.

They were hatched Easter. So 4 weeks?
