ya know they might be closer to 5 or 6 weeks, I have some I believe RIR cross, production type pullets. And some unidentified breed, and some orp cross pullets, all a round 5 or 6 weeks. I just didn't know if you wanted fuzzy butts or were content with some with feathers!! LOL and yea Wenatchee is bit of a jaunt, and my husband said I can't drive too far to deliver or pick up critters any more!! ( if you only knew)!! Anyway, I have some, I will probably put them on CL later this week, I have two hatches coming up this week! Bantam Ameraucanas and Bantam RIR's!! So, all the cross breed chicks have to find a new home! Anyway, just thought I'd offer, but yea, looks like you have a bunch to pick from if you need too!! Like it's been said on here, there are a bunch of enablers!! We are always ready, willing and able to enable the chicken passion!! Ok I'm not gonna use spell check so I hope I spelled Bantam Ams right!! LOL!

It's only a little bit further for me when I am in Wenatchee on saturday.. LOL I just want some girlies who will get along with my EE's. :) Let me know LOL

CR - I end up here mighty often. I can learn about chickens on any thread. I left one because all they did was try to outbrag each other CONSTANTLY, to the point it was just plain nauseating. The Washingtonians are comfort food to me just like ice cream and chocolate candy. When the ice cream and candy are gone, I still have you guys, and thankgoodness you aren't fattening. I'm not from these parts but, way across to Chicago area. Chicken Lady granted me special dispensation to participate here and I get bonus points because my son lives in Redmond. This is sanctuary - plain and simple. the very best place to park your butt and lurk or contribute. Love you guys - big time!!!.

We're in Omak too...and my husband's in the same camp as yours, sounds like :) He went to the feed store to pick up 2 speckled sussex that I ordered and came back with SIX more chickens..got suckered in by the cuteness factor, I think. I just found someone in the S. Seattle area that is selling Welsummer and Cuckoo Maran chicks, and since we're going over for a visit Memorial Weekend, I got two. (I didn't ask about it before hand, either..just figured in this case it might be easier to say sorry afterwards then have a long discussion about how we really don't need any more chickens :)

Since you're local: we also ordered from a hatchery and some of our little younglings are boys..and we just can't keep them all. We have one Golden Laced Wyandotte cockerel and one little Mottled Cochin Bantam roo that need to find new homes. If you know of anyone that can have roosters (sounds like you might be in town) feel free to give them my email: [email protected]. These little guys have been hand raised, held constantly and are quite friendly and will fly up into your lap.

Another Omakian - great. Well my story is I started with a few layers. Then I came to this forum. The rest is basically history. they are all enablers. LOL You know who I am talking about.

I know am getting into showing birds and this weekend I am having a 8 x 24' coop built for my seramas - of which I have 20 chicks and 6 more under a broody. But then I still have the layers. Read up on Golden Comets (a sexlink) and really lliked them...so picked up 8 to go with the layer pen. But of course I needed Large Fowl show birds so I have the English Orpingtons. I have the 3 adults...but then I have 5 babies under a broody and 12 more eggs on the way to go under another broody.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the turkeys I just picked up 2 weeks ago. 6 to be exact. Yep, I have gone a little overboard I think. Husband just rolls his eyes - but he really likes the turkeys.
