Well I have a list of chores a mile long to get done the next couple of days, but it seemed a lot more important to play with the chicks and start trying to get good identifying photos of them. Priorities people! These chicks don't stay little forever you know! I can't believe how much the Seramas have changed just since Mother's Day when they were born.

These are my first Seramas, and here's what I love about them, besides the obvious - being that they are so tiny and irresistably cute - but when I pick them up to try and take photos, they allow themselves to be picked up easily. It is only when I put them down to take a photo that they squawk! As soon as they are back in my hand, they settle down and often go to sleep within seconds. This is incredibly appealing to one's instinct to nurture...

So here are my 4 Seramas from Laura of Castle Delight Seramas. Hope you guys aren't too bored with my sharing. I can't wait to see how they feather out, and how many boys or girls I have!

Yes, I am losing my feather lovin mind. Myself, my DH, my Aunt, and my friends are doing more to find her than my out of his mind dad. He only filed the police report after my self, DH and grandma begged him to for three days. I am going to put up posters, and I posted on her Facebook hoping her friends will respond.
I don't know what elts to do!
And yes they do need disaplin but so does my dad. I am out looking for her when I can and he just goes about his normal buisness. Work and then home!

Well you won't believe this!! I moved all my eggs to the brinsea this morning, I'll be a .....
there are two chicks zipped!!

I know you said she's 14?? If I was her mom I'd woop her butt!!

I told my kids I don't care if I'm 80! Your never gonna be bigger than me!! They may think their too old but......

Hi everyone just checking in.... All is well here... made my first batch of home made chicken stock yesterday and canned it...

I culled 4 rosters today ( after getting woke up at 5:45am this morning yeah I had to save my sanity along with my neighbors) and will be making stock with them as well.... I still have a BLRW Cockerel if anyone wants him just send me a PM. I hope all is well with everyone. Welcome to all the newbies. Congrats on the 20 year anniversary... This day and age thats an amazing accomplishment and you and your wife should be commended. Well I better get back to work... so much to do...

When we were Truck driving we went to a tyson factory for the canned chicken and you could smell that wet musty dog smell for miles, my husband thinks im crazy but I think i smell it when we buy frozen chicken breast. I dont remember the Rabbits smelling..... only the screams.

Rabbit screams are bad !!!!!!!!!!! You need to "disbatch" a rabbit quickly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And fully !!!
And the wet/fired feather smell is awful...drive through the midwest where chicken is king and it will gag ya for miles !

Oh darn that is to bad, I am sorry to hear that. The 8 chicks here are doing great though. Even the one with the cross beak.
Also I really wish you lived closer ( as I am not available to drive out to you for a while) I would let you use my egg turner!

Well the news here just keeps getting better....Not so much. Found out that my little sister Rachel (14yrs) has been missing sense Friday the 11th. My dad is such and idiot, he has no rules lets the kids (Brother 17yrs, Rachel 14yrs, and lil sister 12yrs) do what ever they want and just turns his head. No punishment for the other times she has taken off. But his excuse is "well she always comes back by Sunday and goes to school for the week. Now she is a very pretty girl (not just saying that cause she is my sister) and unfortunaly she is very well built already. She is short, skinny, (but not overly) and has "blossemed" so to speek. She is very out going and will talk to ANYONE. She leaves her phone at home or breaks it so she can not be tracked and makes sure not to tell her best friend where she is going because she knows that she always tells us what is going on. My dad again being the idiot he is, did not even go to the police untill Tuesday.
Also I just got word that my brother could be selling weed again. So far the youngest is untarnished, but that wont last for long unless she has a stronger will than the other two. I am loseing my fricken mind, I am so worried. I even posted on her facebook hoping that eather her or one of her friends will at least let me know she is alive.

Must think happy thoughts......Ummm.....uuhhh.... Chickens, Chickens, Chickens! **** TEENAGERS AND **** CRAPY PARENTS!
